LA PLATA, MD. —- Charles County Sheriff Rex Coffey reports that on June 27 at 2:02 p.m., officers assigned to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Fugitive Unit responded to the 300 block of Serenity Court in Prince Frederick after receiving a tip through Crime Solvers that Douglas Earl Compton, III, 26, of Waldorf, was near that address.
Compton had recently been featured in the Charles County Crime Solvers Fugitive Friday series and was wanted for failure to appear in court on a second-degree assault charge.
Officers with the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, Calvert County Sheriff’s Office and the Maryland State Police made the arrest.
