<p>HEBRON, MD. &#8212; 05/22/2014 According to police, on May, 2o, 2014 at 8:23 PM Worcester County Sheriff deputies responded to Crooked Oak Lane near Hebron for the report of a collision between a motorcycle and a pedestrian. Reports to the Sheriff’s Office stated that the motorcycle operator left the area at a high rate of speed following the collision.<br />
A responding deputy contacted the motorcycle on Nanticoke Road and attempted to stop it, instead the rider drove away at a high rate in an attempt to elude the deputy.<br />
The deputy attempted to follow the fleeing motorcycle until prudence caused the deputy to cease the pursuit on Old Ocean City Road in the area of Beaglin Park Drive.<br />
A short while later a different deputy observed the subject this time riding on Walston Switch Road and attempted to stop him and pursued him until the rider decided to stop on Mt. Hermon Rd in the area of Forest Grove Road.<br />
During these pursuits the operator of the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed and operating recklessly.<br />
The operator,<strong> Jean Carlo Cabrera -Oliveras</strong>, was taken into custody for both fleeing and eluding and leaving the scene of an accident involving injury. Upon presentation to the District Court Commissioner, Cabrera-Oliveras was detained in the Detention Center in lieu of $75,000.00 bond. The subject initially struck in the incident was transported to PRMC via EMS for treatment of injuries.<br />
<strong>Charges: </strong>Leaving the Scene of a Collision; Attempt to Flee and Elude<br />
<strong><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Arrest Made in Shooting</span><br />
</strong>MELFA, VA. According to <strong>Accomack County Sheriff Todd Godwin</strong>, on May 4, 2014 at approximately 02:26 AM, the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an altercation between two subjects on Back Street near Melfa. While deputies were en-route to the scene, additional information was received that indicated a subject had been shot at this same address. Upon law enforcement’s arrival on the scene, one victim was located with an apparent gunshot wound to the body and a suspect was located nearby and taken into custody.<br />
The victim was transported by EMS to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he was treated and subsequently released.<br />
As a result of this incident, <strong>James V. Rankin</strong>, 31, of Melfa was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. Rankin is incarcerated in the Accomack County Jail with bond denied. The Virginia State Police along with officers from the<strong> Onancock, Onley and Parksley Police Departments</strong> assisted with this incident. <span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Drag racing, pot packing bozo in a Mustang Charged with Violations; His race opponent, also in Mustang hit with Eight Tickets<br />
</strong></span>Cordova, Md. – The wild ones hit the road and caused a wreck in order to learn who had the fastest Mustang. One ended up in a ditch and both drivers will have hundreds of dollars in tickets to pay. Their real bonus for these bozos will come when they get their new insurance premiums. Talbot County Sheriff’s Lt. John Bollinger reports that on May 11, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff&#8217;s Office responded to a personal injury accident on Chapel Road at the intersection of Three Bridge Branch Road.<br />
The accident involved two vehicles, a silver Honda Accord which overturned on Chapel Road and a red Ford Mustang which was disabled on the shoulder. Information from witnesses revealed the red Ford Mustang was involved in a speed contest with a silver Ford Mustang just prior to the collision with the Honda Accord.<br />
The driver of the red Ford Mustang, Peter Elijah Skorupa, 19, of Cordova, MD was charged with eight traffic violations including driving vehicle in a race/speed contest on highway, reckless driving, aggressive driving, improper passing and other related charges all contributing to an accident.<br />
The driver of the silver Ford Mustang, a seventeen year old male from Easton, MD was also charged with several traffic violations, including driving vehicle in a race/speed contest on highway as well as possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. The juvenile was released to a parent and referred to juvenile services. Skorupa was released upon his signature on the citations.<br />
<span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Smacking gal’s daddy on Black Dog Alley<br />
</strong></span>Easton &#8211; On May 16, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff&#8217;s Office were called to the 8000 block of <strong>Black Dog Alley</strong> for an assault in progress.<br />
Upon arrival Deputies made contact with<strong> Aaron Scott Jordan</strong>, 34 of Easton, MD who advised he had been involved in a verbal argument with his girlfriend, Amanda Dawn Smith, 31 of Wye Mills, MD, which led to a physical confrontation with her father, Palmer Frederick Knox, 56, of Wye Mills, MD.<br />
Deputies observed injuries on Knox consistent with a physical confrontation and placed Jordan under arrest charging him with one count of assault in the second degree. Jordan was taken before a District Court Commissioner who ordered Jordan held on a $25,000.00 bond.</p>
