Wicomico Sheriff’s Police Beat: DUI, assaults and heroin is popular in Salisbury

In this incident it is alleged that Mancia lost control of his vehicle on Pemberton Drive causing it to flip over. Upon the arrival of the deputy to the overturned vehicle, Mancia had left the scene. Approximately two hours later Mancia turned up at PRMC at which point the deputy met with him and determined that Mancia appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

Eastern Shore Police Beat: Three banks robbed in just over 24 hours have cops running out of crime scene tape

SALISBURY, MD. — Bank robbers have been having their own shopping spree in just over 24 hours, robbing three lower Eastern Shore banks. The three banks which were robbed are located in Sharptown, Princess Anne and Salisbury.

The first was the BB & T in Princess Anne, early in the morning, the second and third took place on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014.

On Friday, December 12, 2014 at approximately 10:11 a.m. the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Hebron Savings Bank, located in Sharptown, Wicomico County, MD for a reported bank robbery.

Eastern Shore Police Beat: Wicomico Sheriff Mike Lewis reports burglar suspect Kevin Owens cashed in loot at pawn shop

PARSONBURG, MD. — On 10 February 2014, a deputy began an investigation into a burglary and theft at a residence in the 33000 block of Bear Swamp Road in Parsonsburg. In this incident a subject forced entry by breaking a window and removed power tools and a camera. The investigating deputy discovered the items for sale in a local pawn shop in Salisbury and identified the individual who brought them in as Kevin Owens of Parsonsburg.

Home Invasion: police charge Paul A. Tatem with murder of Donald G. Mariner; assault of housemate

Tatem is charged with the murder of Donald G. Mariner, 72, who was found dead in his home in the 27000-block of Pemberton Drive, Salisbury, early on the morning of April 16, 2014. Mariner and his housemate, a 50-year-old man, had both been assaulted when suspect(s) entered the home during an apparent home invasion. Mariner was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy determined Mariner was murdered and died from blunt force injuries. The younger victim survived.

Eastern Shore Police Beat: pot remains popular among deadheads; district burglars like the beach

Police say that on June 13, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office were called to the 8000 block of Swann Haven Road for a domestic assault. Contact was made with Crystal Lynn Robertson, 42, of Easton, MD who advised she had been assaulted by her live in boyfriend, Bruce Douglas Bradley, 43, of Easton, MD. Robertson had injuries consistent with an assault and was escorted to the District Court Commissioner who issued an arrest warrant and a protective order. Deputies were able to locate and arrest Bradley without incident. Bradley was processed and taken before a District Court Commissioner who ordered him held on a $15,000.00 bond.

Awards were presented for incidents involving troopers who were assaulted by armed suspects, a trooper who saved the life of a man at an Orioles game who turned out to be a long lost friend and employees who went above and beyond the call of duty while serving and protecting the people of Maryland. Colonel Brown even presented a dog bone to Jillie, a State Police K-9 who helped troopers find a suicidal man in time to rescue him and save his life.
