Maryland State Police Nab New York-bound heroin runner Kerry Hampton with 750 servings of death

The suspect is identified as Kerry J. Hampton, 29, of Fayetteville, NC. Hampton is charged with importation of heroin, possession with intent to distribute heroin, and possession of heroin. Following his initial appearance before a court commissioner, he was held in the Cecil County Detention Center on $150,000 bond.

HUNTINGTOWN, MD. — Driving while smoking dope is, well, dopey. This alleged doper had a car full of pot smoke when a trooper stopped him for dopey driving. Police say that on 3/26/15 @ 5:50 pm, Trooper First Class Newcomer stopped a vehicle on Cox Rd. near Joy Lee Dr. in Huntingtown for traffic violations. A strong odor of marijuana was emitting from inside the vehicle. The driver, Kevin D. Sauer, 20 of Crofton, was arrested for possession over 10 grams of marijuana.

The complainant provided a description of three subjects and their vehicle. The vehicle, a Mercury Grand Marquis, was observed pulling into the Shell Gas Station in the 2500 block of Riva Road. Officers made contact with the occupants, at which time they observed individually packaged baggies of heroin on the front passenger floor board. A total of 38 baggies containing 30.6 grams of heroin valued at $3,674 along with $2,987 in U.S. currency. All three occupants were taken into custody and charged with Possession of CDS and Possession with Intent to Distribute. Carroll and Cornish were also served with open warrants
