Eastern Shore Police Beat: Wicomico Sheriff Mike Lewis reports Dawn Miller will face drug dealing charges

On 6 September 2014 a deputy from the Wicomico Sheriff’s Office took David Andrews into custody and transported him to the Wicomico Detention Center. Andrews was being sought on a Circuit Court Bench Warrant that was issued after he violated his probation in a Possession of Child Pornography case.

Andrews was detained without bond pending an appearance in front of a Circuit Court Judge.

Dover Police take note of ‘undocumented shoppers’ ripping off area stores

The Dover Police Department responded to a total of 16 shoplifting complaints between Noon on Thursday, August 28th and Noon on Thursday, September September 4th. This week saw a decrease of 10 complaints compared to the same time period in last weeks post. Of the 16 shoplifting complaints, 8 resulted in arrests of the suspects involved, 3 businesses declined prosecution, 2 of them are still under investigation without identified suspects, and no crime was confirmed in the other 3 cases. There were no juvenile arrests for shoplifting in this time period.

Robbery detectives are also actively searching for these armed robbery suspects. The two men robbed a convenience store in the 6800 block of Race Track Road in Bowie on August 29, 2014. The suspects pointed a gun at an employee and demanded cash. They then ran from the store. The suspects may have driven away from the area in a blue van similar to the one in the picture below. Thirty six SSB members and associates have pleaded guilty to their roles in the conspiracy, including Andre Ricardo Roach, a/k/a “Squeaky,” “Redrum,” and “Rum,” age 35, of Prince George’s County, Maryland, its founder and leader of the gang, which operated from Western Maryland to the lower Eastern Shore. Roach was sentenced to 30 years in prison

Feds say Dr. Derron McRae Simon ran Oxy pill mill from ‘WithinMe MD’

According to the nine-count indictment, from January 2013 until around July 2014, Simon was the chief medical director, and often the primary or only medical doctor, at WithinMe MD, a wellness practice in Arlington. From November 2008 until July 2014, Simon’s medical license was restricted by the Virginia Board of Medicine after having either been suspended or placed on probation. Simon’s license was summarily suspended on July 11, 2014.
