DWI HIT PARADE: Repeat four-time offender DUI driver Ronald Lee Peek busted again on Old Ocean City Road after crash
SALISBURY, MD. — Maryland State Police report that a repeat offender DUI driver was charged once again for DUI after he allegedly crashed into another vehicle on Christmas Day, injuring several persons in both vehicles.
On December 25, 2017, at approximately at 3:30 pm, Troopers from the Salisbury Barrack were dispatched to the area of Old Ocean City Road and Pacific Avenue, Wicomico County, Maryland for a report of a two-vehicle crash.
Police say that upon arrival, the investigation revealed the above listed Nissan Titan attempted to make a right turn from Pacific Avenue to Old Ocean City Road. The Nissan Titan failed to yield the right away to the above listed Chevrolet Avalanche which was traveling East Bound on Old Ocean City Road, pulling directly into its path of travel. The Chevrolet Avalanche was unable to avoid a collision and collided with the Nissan Titan. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage.
The driver and adult front seat passenger along with two juvenile rear seat passengers of the Chevrolet were transported to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. The passenger of the Nissan was also transported to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. Peek the driver of the above listed Nissan refused medical treatment on scene and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Peek refused to take a test to determine alcohol concentration when requested by the police officer. Peek was transported to Wicomico Detention Center where he was held until brought before a District Court Commissioner.
- Ronald Lee Peek was arrested by Wicomico Sheriff’s Deputy Welch as he operated a 1982 Chevy on Old Ocean City Road at Walston Switch on Dec. 20, 2011. In a plea deal with the Wicomico County States Attorney on June 14, 2012, Peek entered a guilty plea to DUI. THE DEAL: Peek was sentenced to one year in jail.
- Peek was arrested for DUI by Salisbury Police Officer Underwood on May 15, 2010. In Wicomico District Court on Jan. 26, 2011, Peek entered into a plea deal with the Wicomico States Attorney. THE DEAL: Peek entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to one year in jail.
- In Wicomico Circuit Court on Sept. 27, 2004, Peek entered a guilty plea to DUI and was sentenced to two years in jail with credit for time served.
