The homicide rate for 2017 is now
55.8 killings per 100,000 people. The previous record was 55.35 per 100,000 in 2015.

BALTIMORE, MD. — Baltimore City Police report that on December 27, 2017, at approximately 5:30 pm, officers were called to the 200 block of N. Hilton Street for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found an adult male with a gunshot wound to his back. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

Investigators believe the victim was in the 200 block of Monastery Avenue when he was shot. Homicide detectives are investigating this incident.

BALTIMORE, MD.  Baltimore Police report one more giant step towards a record rate of murders in 2017.

On December 26, 2017, at approximately 4:40 pm, officers were called to the 3700 block of Arcadia Avenue for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found an 18-year old man with gunshot wounds to his body. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

Four Thugs Wrench Car from Victim on Christmas Eve

BALTIMORE, MD.  – Baltimore Police report that on December 24, 2017, at approximately 6:00 am, a 65-year old man parked his car in the 4400 block of Park Heights Avenue. After exiting his vehicle, the victim was approached by four unknown suspects. One of the suspects was armed with a gun and announced a robbery. The suspects then left the location with the victim’s car.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspects seen in this video is asked to call detectives from the Citywide Robbery Unit at 410-366-6341 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.

Northern District Homicide

On December 26, 2017, at approximately 10:04 p.m, Northern District patrol officers were called to 38th Street at Old York Road for a report of a shooting.

Upon officer’s arrival, they located a vehicle in the 3700 block of Ellerslie with heavy front-end damage. Inside of the vehicle was an unresponsive male suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

William Wallace shot in the head in 1995, died in 2017; case now labeled a homicide.

On December 22, 2017, Homicide detectives were notified of the death of 38-year-old William Wallace (B/M).

William Wallace was shot in the head on June 15, 1995, while in the 800 block of Durham Street.

On September 4, 2017, the victim was located in the 900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue unresponsive after suffering a seizure.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

An autopsy was conducted and William Wallace’s cause of death has now been ruled a homicide due to the injuries he suffered in 1995.

Homicide Update

In reference to the homicide that occurred in the 900 block of Popular Grove on December 14, 2017, the victim has been identified as 38-year-old Ali Ouedraogo (B/M).

Western District

In reference to the homicide that occurred in the 600 block of Dukeland Avenue on December 23, 2017, the victim has been identified as 20-year-old Reazon Kendall Owens Green (B/M).

Northwest District

In reference to the homicide that occurred in the 4900 block of Pembridge Avenue on December 23, 2017, the victim has been identified as 45-year-old Leroy Moore (B/M) or the 100 block of Pittston Circle.

Southwest District

In reference to the homicide that occurred in the 200 block of South Monastery Avenue on December 24, 2017, the victim has been identified as 41-year-old Wesley Egan Langford of the 4300 block of Frederick Avenue.

Northwest District

In reference to the homicide that occurred in the 3700 block of Arcadia Avenue on December 26, 2017, the victim has been identified as 18-year-old Quincy Hammonds (B/M) of the 1900 block of Middleview Court.

Northeast District

Shooting Investigation

On December 26, 2017, at approximately 12:30 pm, officers were called to the 3400 block of Mary Avenue for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a 25-year old man with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

At approximately 2:15 pm, a 31-year old man walked into an area hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm. Investigators believe both victims were in the 3400 block of Mary Avenue when they were shot.

Detectives from the Citywide Shooting Unit are investigating this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
