STAFFORD, VA. — Stafford County Sheriff David P. Decatur reports his detectives swooped in on a local heroin ring and wound up with two arrests.

On the afternoon of August 7, 2017, Stafford County Narcotics Detectives obtained and executed a search warrant at 138 Rocky Run Road. A long-term investigation revealed heroin was being sold out of the residence to numerous subjects. Located in the search were heroin packaged for sale, a substantial amount of cash, needles and other paraphernalia.

Arrested as a result of the search were fifty-eight-year-old Richard Hughes Jr. and twenty-three-year-old Dylan Hughes.

Richard Hughes was charged with one count of Distribution and one count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute Heroin. Dylan Hughes was charged with one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Additional charges are pending.
