DISTRICT THUGS BOOSTED CVS IN RURAL POOLESVILLE,
JUMPED COUNTER, SCOOPED UP DRUGS
POOLESVILLE, MD. — Add three more thugs from D.C. charged with crimes in Maryland, and Maryland taxpayers will have to support their addition to the mass and justified incarceration of criminals.
Police report that Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 1st District Investigative Section have charged Lazarrious Eugene Dew, age 25, of the 1300 block of Iverson Street in Oxen Hill, Jarred Deshaun Sanders, age 27, of the 3400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Southeast, Washington, D.C., and Tykwon Boyd, age 22, of the unit block of Chesapeake Street in Southwest, Washington, D.C., for their involvement in the theft of prescription medication from the CVS Pharmacy in Poolesville that occurred on Friday, September 16, 2016.
On September 16, 2016, at approximately 2:02 p.m., the Emergency Communications Center (ECC) received a 9-1-1 call from an employee of the CVS Pharmacy located at 19594 Fisher Avenue in Poolesville initially reporting a robbery (this call was later determined to be a theft). The employee stated that two suspects, identified later as Dew and Boyd, entered the CVS, vaulted the counter, stole medication, and fled in a vehicle confirmed later to be driven by Sanders. The employee provided a description of Sanders’ vehicle and responding officers observed the described vehicle driving southbound on Darnestown Road at Germantown Road. Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but the car failed to stop and continued driving southbound on Darnestown Road.
Officers pursued Sanders’ car until it struck a vehicle at the intersection of Darnestown Road and Dufief Mill Road in Darnestown. Sanders, Dew, and Boyd fled on foot from the vehicle and were arrested by officers a short time later in a nearby neighborhood. Dew and Sanders were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries that they sustained during the collision. Two occupants of the struck vehicle were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Boyd and Dew were charged with theft offenses. Boyd was released after posting a $2,500 bond. Dew was released after posting a $7,500 bond. Sanders was charged with theft and traffic offenses and is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.
