Maryland State Police Beat / Teen Joyride into Tree Leaves One Dead

SHARPTOWN, MD. A carload of teenagers on a high-speed joyride came to an abrupt end when the 17-year-old driver, who apparently never got the message that speed kills, especially when slamming into a tree, did just that, killing a girl who was riding in the Honda on its way on the Highway to Heaven.

Maryland State Police report that on Aug. 1, 2016, at 10:02 pm Troopers from the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack were dispatched to the area of 10850 Sharptown Road, Sharptown, Wicomico County Maryland for a single motor vehicle collision. 

Police say that the vehicle, a 2005 Honda Accord was traveling south on Sharptown Road when the driver lost control, and the Honda continued off the roadway striking a tree at a high rate of speed.

The occupants of the wrecked Honda were taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center. 
The front seat passenger was pronounced deceased while at PRMC, but her name has not yet been released by police.
Maryland State Police TFC T. Workman is investigating the deadly wreck along with a Crash Team investigator Tfc. C. Del Vecchio.
