<p><strong>Shooting:</strong> 2000 Jefferson St. Adult male shot in the neck. Disp. 9:42pm. Eastern District detectives investigating.</p>
<p><strong>Overnight Shooting</strong>: 500 N Pulaski St. Adult male shot in face, adult female shot in back. Dispatched @ 11:36pm. District Detectives invest.</p>
<p><strong>Overnight Shooting:</strong> 2300 W. Lafayette. Adult male shot multiple times. Dispatched @ 12:21am. Western District detectives are investigating.</p>
<p><strong>Overnight Shooting:</strong> Walk-in to area hospital. Adult male shot in the leg. Dispatched @ 12:29am. Southwest District detectives investigating.</p>
<p><strong>Overnight Shooting</strong>: 900 N. Caroline. Adult male shot in the leg. Dispatched at 1:19am. Eastern District detectives are investigating.</p>
<p><strong>Overnight Shooting:</strong> 1200 E Madison St. Adult male shot in the torso. Dispatched @ 1:22am. Eastern District detectives are investigating</p>
<p><strong>Overnight Homicide:</strong> 800 W. Saratoga St. Adult male shot in the torso. Dispatched @ 2:10am. Homicide detectives are investigating.</p>
<p><strong>Shooting:</strong> 2800 E. Madison Street. Multiple victims shot. Dispatched 3:55pm. PIO is responding.</p>
<p>The incident in the area of the 2800 blk of E Madison St has been resolved. A fifth victim has been located.</p>
<p><strong>Overnight Homicide:</strong> 1800 Ramblewood Rd. An adult male was shot in back and died. A 2nd adult male was shot in the stomach.</p>
<p><strong>Overnight Shooting</strong>: An adult male walked into an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. Central District det&#8217;s are investigating.</p>

<p>The murder rate in New York City has spiked an alarming 20% in the first two months of the year, prompting NYPD brass to rethink strategy to curb the deadly trend.</p>
<p>Since Jan. 1, 54 murders have been recorded in the city, up nine from the same period a year ago, according to the grim stats released Monday.</p>
<p>Shootings have also climbed 20% — with 149 so far in 2015 compared with 126 in the first two months of 2014.</p>
<p>But overall, crime has dropped 11% in most major crime categories, including burglary, robbery, rape, grand larceny and auto theft.</p>
