<p><a href="https://www.the-chesapeake.com//wp-content/uploads/2015/02/James-River-Bridge.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-7801" src="https://www.the-chesapeake.com//wp-content/uploads/2015/02/James-River-Bridge.jpg" alt="James River Bridge" width="300" height="157" /></a>02/24/2015 &#8212; HAMPTON, VA. At approximately <span data-term="goog_1302635586">12:23 am</span> this morning, <span data-term="goog_1302635587">February 24, 2015</span>, Virginia State Police was called to the James River Bridge to a two vehicle accident which resulted in a fatality, reports Sgt. Michelle Anaya.</p>
<p>The accident occurred southbound Route 17, 2 miles south of River Road on the James River Bridge draw span.</p>
<p>A 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, driven by Kenith L. Booker, was traveling northbound Route 17 in the southbound lanes. Police said that Booker approached the draw span in the left lane and struck a 1999 Ford F250 head on and died upon impact. The female driver in the Ford F250 suffered non life threatening injuries and transported from the scene.</p>
