MD&rpar; – You can take the city kids out of the city but there still ends up stabbings and violence at a mountain-side college&period; That was one lesson to take away from this bloody event in a Western Maryland Community College&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Where the college had recently featured a first responder course&comma; anticipating that those skiers at nearby ski resorts who plow head-first into trees&comma; fall off chair lifts or go over a snow bank might need a rescue&semi; on January 29&comma; 2015&comma; it was a case of a fight in the college cafeteria leading to bloodshed&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>First responders got a workout as two stabbing victims had to be treated for serious wounds and rushed to hospitals&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Where did the alleged attacker take off to in order to escape arriving police&quest;  Apparently she simply went to class&period; Perhaps she had an important test to take&period; Investigating detectives found her walking out of a college building&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Maryland State Police report that a suspect is in custody and facing charges on Thursday evening&comma; January 29th after two people were stabbed at Garrett College&period;  Police say that even the alleged stabber suffered wounds from the cafeteria mayhem&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The suspect is identified as Shamaine N&period; Moore&comma; 19&comma; of Baltimore&comma; Md&period; She is under arrest and was expected to be charged later in the evening with attempted second degree murder&comma; first and second degree assault&comma; and reckless endangerment&period; Additional charges are possible&period; She was transported by ambulance&comma; accompanied by troopers&comma; to Garrett Memorial Hospital for treatment of what appears to be a laceration&period; After her release and processing&comma; she will be taken to the Garrett County Detention Center to await an initial appearance before a court commissioner&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The two victims are identified as Daniqua N&period; Harrington&comma; 20&comma; of Washington&comma; D&period;C&period;&comma; and Chandel J&period; Alexander&comma; 18&comma; of Baltimore&comma; Md&period; Both victims were transported to Garrett Memorial Hospital for treatment of stab wounds&period; Alexander was treated and released&period; Harrington was later transferred to Ruby Memorial Hospital&comma; where she continues to undergo treatment&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Just before 5&colon;00 p&period;m&period; today&comma; Maryland State Police at the McHenry Barrack received a call for a reported stabbing at Garrett College&comma; in the 600-block of Mosser Road&comma; McHenry&comma; Md&period; Responding troopers found the two victims in the school cafeteria&period; EMS personnel responded to treat and transport the victims&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Information was developed by troopers about the suspect&comma; who had fled the scene&period; Troopers responded to the on-campus dormitories and encountered the suspect coming out of a building&period; She was arrested without incident&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division investigators from the McHenry and Hagerstown barracks&comma; as well as C3I Cumberland and the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit responded to conduct the investigation&period; The preliminary investigation indicates the suspect and both victims are students at the college&period; The three were in the cafeteria when an argument ensued&period; The suspect produced a knife and the two victims were stabbed during the altercation&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>State Police investigators conducted numerous interviews of persons in the cafeteria where the incident occurred&period; Troopers recovered a knife in the cafeteria&period; The knife will be forwarded to the Maryland State Police Forensic Sciences Division laboratory for analysis to determine if it was the weapon used in the stabbings&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Garrett County Sheriff&&num;8217&semi;s Office deputies also responded to the scene and assisted&period;
