<h1>Irish sought in burglary and rape</h1>
<p><strong></strong><strong>WOODBRIDGE, VA. –</strong> Prince William County Police report that on January 12<sup>th</sup> at 3:58AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2500 block of Miranda Ln in Woodbridge, Va., to investigate a burglary in progress. The victim, a 2- year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was asleep inside her home when she woke to a sound coming from a lower level of the residence. Upon checking the home, the victim determined that the accused, a known acquaintance, forcibly entered the residence through a rear window. The victim and accused then got into a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused sexually assaulted the victim before fleeing the home. The victim further reported that she has been involved in an ongoing dispute with the accused for several weeks. Warrants were already on file against the accused for previous encounters with the victim. Multiple officers, including a police K-9, searched the immediate area and neighbor in an attempt to locate the accused. Following the investigation, detectives obtained additional warrants against the accused relating to this incident.</p>

<h1>Robber slashed victim</h1>
<p><strong></strong><strong>WOODBRIDGE, VA. –</strong> Prince William Police say that on January 8<sup>th</sup> at 7:05PM, officers responded to the 14300 block of Ferndale Rd in Woodbridge, Va., to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that the victim, an 18-year-old man of Woodbridge, and two other male acquaintances were walking in the above area when they were approached by an unknown man who attempted to rob them. During the encounter, the victim sustained a large slash to his leg. The two male acquaintances separated the victim and the suspect. Once separated, the suspect then fled on foot. No property was taken. The victim was then driven to an area hospital where police were contacted. <strong></strong><strong>This incident does not appear to be random.</strong> The investigation continues.</p>

<h1>Someone must have gotten a Red Ryder</h1>
<p><strong></strong><strong>WOODBRIDGE, VA., –</strong> On January 8<sup>th</sup> at 9:36PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6000 block of Ticket Way in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a BB related assault. The victim, a 34-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he arrived at his residence in the above area and was walking up to his front door when he was struck in the back of the leg with an apparent BB pellet. The victim immediately entered his home and contacted police. No suspect was seen or heard by the victim. The BB pellet caused only minor bruising to the victim’s leg. Upon checking the home, a shattered second floor window was located. No other injuries or property damage were reported. <strong></strong><strong>This incident does not appear to be random.</strong> The investigation continues.</p>

<h1>Goofball was displaying his shortcomings</h1>
<p><strong></strong><strong>WOODBRIDGE, VA., –</strong> On January 11<sup>th</sup> at 2:23PM, officers responded to the 13400 block of Lock Pl. in Woodbridge to investigate an indecent exposure. The victim, a 29-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was standing on her front stoop when she observed an unknown man near the corner of her home. The victim further reported that she observed than man exposing himself and making an inappropriate gesture. The victim immediately called police and the suspect left the area prior to officers arriving at the home. No contact was made between the victim and the suspect.</p>

<h1>While citizens work, dirtbags burglarize their homes</h1>
<p><strong></strong><strong>WOODBRIDGE, VA., –</strong> The burgeoning criminal community in Woodbridge is hard at work while citizens go to work. On January 9<sup>th</sup> at 7:58PM, Prince William Police report that officers responded to a residence located in the 10700 block of Haggle Ct in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:59AM and 7:45PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a basement level glass door which was broken out. Jewelry and an undisclosed amount of money were reported missing.</p>

<h1>Attempted Residential Burglary</h1>
<p><strong></strong><strong>MANASSAS, VA. –</strong> On January 9<sup>th</sup> at 6:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 9500 block of Mountwood Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate an alarm activation. Officers arrived at the home and discovered a broken rear glass door. Upon checking the home, no suspect(s) was located. No entry is believed to have been made into the residence and no property was reported missing.</p>

<h1>A Mess at MESH</h1>
<p><strong></strong><strong>MANASSAS, VA. –</strong> On January 8<sup>th</sup> at 10:22PM, officers responded to the MESH Juvenile Facility located at 8642 Wellington Rd in Manassas, Va., to investigate a fight. The investigation revealed that the accused, a 14 year old male juvenile resident of the facility, began acting erratically towards staff members. During the encounter, one of the staff members went to detain the accused and was subsequently struck. A second juvenile resident also struck the staff member in an attempt to free the accused. The staff member was eventually able to restrain the accused and was escorting him back to his room when the accused bit the staff member on the arm. Minor injuries were reported. Officers arrived and detained both juveniles involved in the altercation. Following the investigation, both were charged and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center where they were held.</p>
