Eastern Shore Police Beat: Thieves hit parked vehicles at Somerset County office complex

Eastern Shore Police BeatPRINCESS ANNE, MD. — According to Princess Anne Police the following incidents and arrests took place: 

on 11-9-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 11916 Somerset Avenue in reference to a theft from two vehicles.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) stole several items from the vehicles parked in the Somerset County Office Complex parking lot between the hours of 4 p.m. and 11: 50 p.m. on 11-9-14.  The incidents remain under investigation.

Theft of Credit Card

On 11-9-14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of theft of a credit / debit card.  Investigation revealed that the suspect stole the card from the victim’s vehicle while the victim was providing the suspect transportation.  The suspect has been identified, and charges are currently pending.

DDWI Hit Parade dating servUI Arrest

On 11-8-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Kevin Darnell Stanford Sr., 49, of Middle River Maryland for driving under the influence of alcohol.  The arrest stemmed from a complaint of a vehicle stopped in the roadway on Mt. Vernon Road in the area of Carol Lane.  Stanford Sr. was found to be the operator of the vehicle and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.  Stanford Sr. was released from custody upon being issued his traffic citations.

The Judge Missed Him in Court

On 11-6-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Allan Lamont Simms, 32, of Salisbury Maryland in reference to an outstanding District Court bench warrant for failure to appear from Wicomico County.  Simms appeared before the District Court Commissioner, who issued a $1,500.00 bond.  Simms was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

Booze Cruise

On 11-5-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Jerry Lemuel Adkins, 57, of Princess Anne Maryland for driving under the influence of alcohol. The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Adkins was found to be the operator.  Adkins was released from custody after being issued his traffic citations.

Trash Master

On 11-5-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged William Ellis Christopher, 51, of Princess Anne Maryland with littering.  The charge stemmed from an officer observing Christopher throwing trash on the sidewalk along Somerset Avenue.  Christopher was issued a criminal citation for littering and was released from the scene.

Prison Loves This Guy

On 11-4-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Eurley Joseph Hodge, 24, of Princess Anne Maryland in reference to an outstanding parole re-take warrant.  Hodge was released into the custody of the Eastern Correctional Institution.

Tire Slashing

On 11-4-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30481 Pecan Drive in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that the suspect damaged a tire on the victim’s vehicle while at the Princess Anne Townhouses.  The victim was referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

Undocumented Shopper

On 11-3-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested David Dewayne Jones, 58, of Marion Station Maryland for theft less than $100.00.  The arrest stemmed from a shoplifting complaint at the Dollar General store located at 30371 Mt. Vernon Road.  Jones was seen by a District Court Commissioner, who released Jones on an unsecure $1,000.00 bond.
