<p>WILMINGTON, DEL. (Oct. 20, 2014) &#8211; Delaware State Police report that they are currently investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store which occurred late last night just north of Wilmington.</p>
<p>The initial investigation has determined that the incident occurred at approximately 11:20 p.m. last night, Sunday, October 19, 2014, as a male suspect entered the <strong>7-Eleven Convenience Store located at 2100 Foulk Road, Wilmington</strong>, DE. The suspect then brandished an unknown type of handgun and confronted a 43 year old male employee. He then demanded money from the store’s cash register.</p>
<p>The male employee complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled from the business in a southbound direction. There were no injuries as a result of this incident.</p>
<p>The suspect is described as a white male, 20-28 years of age. He was 6’00”-6’01” tall, weighed between 200-220 lbs., and was last seen wearing black hooded sweatshirt and grey pants. He was also armed with an <em><strong>unknown type of handgun</strong></em>.</p>
<p>There is no video surveillance footage of this incident available to release at this time.</p>

<h3>Troopers Investigate Single Vehicle Fatal Crash</h3>
<p>Rehoboth, DEL. (Oct. 20, 2014) &#8211; The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating a single vehicle crash that resulted in a fatality of a 53-year-old Middletown man. The Delaware State Police have identified the victim of the fatal motor vehicle crash which occurred on Robinsonville Road as <strong>Richard P. Taylor</strong>, 53 of Middletown, DE.</p>
<p>The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. Oct. 19, 2014 as a 53-year-old male, was operating a 2013 Ford F-150 eastbound on Robinsonville Road approaching Harts Road (CR277A). For unknown reasons the Ford left the north side of the roadway and struck a driveway embankment before continuing on and striking a tree with the front of the truck. Due to the impact, the male driver became entrapped inside the vehicle which then became engulfed in flames.</p>
<p>The 53-year-old male operator, who was the lone occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was removed from the scene by the Division of Forensic Science for an autopsy and his name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.</p>
<p>The Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing their investigation into this incident. <strong>Robinsonville Road</strong> was closed for approximately three and a half hours as the crash was investigated and cleared.</p>
<h2>Delaware Troopers Seek Identity of Credit Card Thieves</h2>
<p>DOVER, DEL. &#8211; The Delaware State Police is asking the public’s assistance in attempting to identify two subjects involved in a theft.</p>
<p>Sometime through the overnight hours of Wednesday October 8th and Thursday October 9th, a subject(s) removed a wallet from a victim&#8217;s car located in the unit block of Tischer Drive, Dover. Later that day on Thursday, the suspect(s) attempted to make a purchase with the victim&#8217;s credit card at the Royal Farms located at 11460 South DuPont Highway, Felton, but were denied by the credit card company.</p>
<p>Surveillance photos depict a white male and black male entering the Royal Farms in an attempt to make the purchase.</p>

<h2>Troopers Investigate Attempted Robbery of West Newport Pike Bakery</h2>
<p>Wilmington, Del. (Oct. 19, 2014) &#8211; Delaware State Police are currently investigating the attempted armed robbery of a West Newport Pike Bakery that occurred Friday evening.</p>
<p>The initial investigation has revealed that the incident occurred on Friday, October 17, 2014, at approximately 8:00 p.m. as a male suspect, whose face was covered with a mask, entered Alondras Bakery located at 2307 West Newport Pike, Wilmington. The suspect displayed a handgun and confronted a 33 year old female store employee. He then demanded money from the store’s register. Upon being confronted by the suspect, the victim fled from behind the counter and hid in the store before the subject fled the bakery without any cash in an unknown directions. The victim was not injured.</p>
<p>The suspect is described as a white male, 5’08”-5’09” tall, weighing between 140-145 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, and had a mask covering his face. He was also armed with an unknown make and model handgun.</p>

<h1>Troopers Investigate Middletown Farm Accident</h1>
<p>Middletown, DEL. – Troopers are investigating a farm accident that occurred earlier this morning when a Middletown man was killed after a tow hook came through his windshield.</p>
<p>The incident occurred at approximately 8:45 a.m. Saturday October 18, 2014 when Robert L. Baker, 64 of Odessa, was attempting to tow a tractor trailer fully loaded with corn from a field located on the north side of Marl Pit Road just west of Cedar Lane Road. The farm tractor was pulling a grain hopper, which had a tow strap attached to the back, and began to pull the tractor trailer from the muddy field when the tow hook broke loose and was propelled through the driver&#8217;s side window striking George R. Lynam Jr., 66 of Middletown in the upper torso.</p>
<p>George Lynam was transported from the scene by EMS to Christiana Hospital Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead.</p>
<p>Robert Baker was uninjured in the incident.</p>
