<p>OWINGS, MD. (Sept. 6, 2014) Those who operate motorcycles know full well that there plenty of dangers and hazards to living when traveling on the nation&#8217;s roads while stone cold sober. To do anything but operate a motorcycle while sober and free of any substances is a death wish.</p>
<p>Calvert Sheriff&#8217;s investigators report that on 09-06-14, at approximately 0045 hrs, members of the <strong>Calvert County Sheriff&#8217;s Office Patrol Bureau and Crash Reconstruction Team</strong> responded to the intersection of Cross Point Drive and Wildfire Lane Owings, MD for the report of a motorcycle crash.</p>
<p>Preliminary investigation revealed a Yamaha R6, operated by <span style="font-family: arial black,avant garde;">Robert Allen Coleman Jr</span>., a 37 year old male, and a resident of Annapolis, Md., was traveling <strong>South on Cross Point Drive</strong> when it failed to negotiate a turn just South of Wildfire Lane. The motorcycle went off the roadway subsequently striking a brick mailbox where it came to final rest approximately 30 feet from the mailbox just off the roadway.</p>
<p>Deputies arrived on scene and found Coleman to be unresponsive and began to administer medical treatment. Officers were relieved by Emergency Medical Services from <strong>North Beach Volunteer Fire Department and Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department</strong>. Coleman was transported to the Calvert Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries sustained during the crash.</p>
<p>On scene investigation revealed alcohol and speed to be contributing factors in the crash. Deputy First Class C. Fox of the Calvert County Sheriff&#8217;s Office Crash Reconstruction Team is conducting the investigation into the events leading up to the crash.
