<p><strong>The case of the evil step-sons</strong></p>
<p><strong>THREE BROTHERS CHARGED WITH MURDER OF THEIR STEPFATHER<br />
</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">07/24/2014) – Putting a new twist on getting rid of mom&#8217;s man in her life, three brothers, one of whom is only eleven years old, are charged with the murder of their stepfather.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">An adult and two youths have been charged with the murder earlier this year of a Cecil County man with whom they lived.</p>
<p><strong>Alishawaine R. Monk</strong>, 23, of the unit block of Green Lane, Port Deposit, Md., is charged with first and second degree murder, first and second degree assault, conspiracy to commit first and second degree murder, and conspiracy to commit first and second degree assault. Monk had been arrested on July 2, 2014, by a US Marshals Service fugitive task force at a relative’s home in Philadelphia.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">That arrest was the result of a warrant obtained by Maryland State Police for drug charges that resulted from the ongoing murder investigation. State Police returned Monk to Maryland on July 22nd and served him with the murder charges. He is currently awaiting an initial appearance before a court commissioner at the Cecil County Detention Center.</p>
<p><strong><a href="https://www.the-chesapeake.com//wp-content/uploads/2014/03/MURDER-USA.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-3285" src="https://www.the-chesapeake.com//wp-content/uploads/2014/03/MURDER-USA-253x300.jpg" alt="MURDER USA" width="253" height="300" /></a>Willy Woodberry</strong>, 14, of the unit block of Green Lane, Port Deposit, Md., is charged as an adult with first and second degree murder, first and second degree assault, conspiracy to commit first and second degree murder, and conspiracy to commit first and second degree assault. He was arrested without incident at his residence on July 22nd by Maryland State Police. A District Court commissioner ordered him held without bond at the Cecil County Detention Center.</p>
<p>The third suspect is being charged as a juvenile and is not being identified. He is 11 years old. He is charged with first and second degree murder and first and second degree assault. He was staying with relatives in Philadelphia, Pa, where he was taken into custody on July 22nd by police who were acting on a body attachment issued by the Cecil County State’s Attorney’s Office.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Department of Juvenile Services officials are working with Pennsylvania authorities to return this suspect to Maryland.</p>
<p>The victim is identified as <strong>Vincent M. Robertson</strong>, 47, of the unit block of Green Lane, Port Deposit, Md. Robertson was found dead in his home when emergency medical services personnel responded there for what was reported to be a medical call on the morning of February 17, 2014. After what appeared to be a gunshot wound was observed, Maryland State Police were called and the State Police Homicide Unit initiated an investigation.</p>
<p>An autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the victim had died from gunshot wounds. His death was ruled a homicide.</p>
<p>The victim lived in the residence with his wife and her five sons. An intense and extensive investigation led by the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit developed evidence that implicated three of the five sons in Robertson’s murder. Evidence was presented to the Cecil County state’s attorney for review and he approved charges for the three suspects. A specific motive for the murder remains unclear at this time.</p>
<p>Investigative assistance was provided by the <strong>Cecil County Narcotics Task Force</strong>, the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office, the Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division Northern Region, the Gang Enforcement Unit, and the Maryland State Apprehension Team. Assistance was also provided by the Philadelphia Police Department and the US Marshals Service.</p>
