<p>CHARLOTTE HALL, MD. &#8212; According to police, they have found the two men responsible for at least two armed robberies in St. Mary&#8217;s County, once again the work of criminals from Prince Georges County or the District of Columbia. Local criminals abound as well, but the armed robberies are generally committed by up the road crooks as locals consume too much in the way of drugs.</p>
<p>On June 23, 2014 the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and the Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division Central / South Region initiated a joint investigation regarding the armed robberies of a jewelry store and the New Market Pharmacy located in Charlotte Hall, Maryland. During both incidents detectives determined the same two African American males entered the businesses, produce a handgun and removed U.S. currency, jewelry, prescription medications and personal property of the victims. The victims were bound with duct tape and suspects then fled on foot from the business.</p>
<p>During the joint investigation two suspects were identified and efforts were made to determine the whereabouts of both men. During the investigation suspect Furman D. Troy Jr., age 43, was found to be residing in District Heights, Maryland and suspect Darrell C. Lee, age 46, was residing in Temple Hills, Maryland. Search warrants were obtained for both residences. On June 30, 2014 detectives, assisted by the Maryland State Police Special Tactical Assault Team Element, The Maryland State Police Apprehension Team-Greenbelt, Prince George’s County Police, The Southern Maryland Information Center (SMIC) and Maryland State Police, Forestville Barrack executed Search and Seizure Warrants at the suspect’s residences. Lee and Troy were both taken into custody without incident and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.</p>
<p>Lee and Troy, Jr. were each charged with 3 counts of Armed Robbery, 3 counts of robbery, 3 counts of assault 2<sup>nd</sup> degree, 1st degree assault, possession of a handgun, 2 counts of use of firearm in commission of a violent crime, 3 counts of false imprisonment, theft of credit card, theft less than $1,000, theft scheme less than $1,000, theft $1,000 to $10,000. Both are being held in the St. Mary’s County detention center under no bond.</p>
<p>CHARLOTTE HALL, MD. 06/18/2014 &#8212; Maryland State Police Sgt. Jeff Jones reports that on June 18, 2014 at approximately 1106 hours, St Mary’s County Emergency Operations Center broadcasted an armed robbery at <strong>T.C. Martins Jewelers</strong>, located at 30105 Three Notch Rd, Charlotte Hall, St. Mary’s County, MD. Corporal Murphy from the <strong>Leonardtown Barrack</strong> arrived on the scene and learned that <strong>two black males</strong> entered the store and brandished a handgun.</p>
<p>The two suspects stole an undisclosed amount of currency and jewelry. The two then fled on foot from the store and was last seen leaving the area in a newer <strong>black Cadillac Escalade</strong>, direction is unknown.</p>
<p>Investigators from MSP-Criminal Enforcement Division, Central South Region responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Maryland State Police Forensic Science Division also responded to gather evidence.</p>
<p>1<sup>st</sup> suspect is described as a black male, early 30’s, approximately 5’-08” to 5’-09”, slender build, medium complexion and approximately 150-160 lbs.</p>
<p>2<sup>nd</sup> suspect is described as a black male, early 30’s, approximately 6’-00” to 6’-01”, heavy build, medium complexion and approximately 250 to 300 lbs. The suspect also had a thinly trimmed beard.</p>
