
CALIFORNIA, MD. – According to St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron, on May 15, 2014, Deputy Cole responded to Lowe’s Store located on Worth Avenue in California, for a reported theft. A manager watched, as suspect Darvin Wynn York Jr., 29, of California, allegedly removed a Kobalt tool set valued at $199.00 from a shelf and leave the store without paying. The manager stopped York and returned to the store to wait for police. York was placed under arrest by Deputy Cole and a search of the suspect was conducted. Deputy Cole recovered 5 pills, (suspected oxycodone), inside the suspect’s wallet. Police say that there was also an outstanding warrant for York’s arrest on charges of credit card fraud and a criminal summons for 2nd Degree Assault. York was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Theft Under $1,000 and Possession Controlled Dangerous Substance – Not Marijuana.
Hot Wheels on St. Peter Claver Church Road

RIDGE, MD. – Make that his ex-girlfriend after he called the cops and allegedly told them that his girlfriend had stolen his cell phone and his wheels. Police say that on May 15, 2014, Corporal Connelly responded to a residence on Sea Side View Road in Ridge, for a reported theft. The victim alleged his girlfriend, identified as suspect Rosilee Mary Bryant, 52, of Ridge, had taken his cell phone and vehicle, while he was asleep and without his permission. At 9:15 AM, Corporal Connelly observed the victim’s vehicle traveling on St. Peter Claver Church Road and conducted a traffic stop. Suspect Bryant was operating the vehicle. She was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with Motor Vehicle Unlawful Taking, Unlawful Removal of Property, Theft Under $10,000 and Theft Under $100.00. She was also charged with Driving on a Revoked License and Privilege.
Bradshaw’s Burchmart Beat-down

HOLLYWOOD, MD. – St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that on May 15, 2014, witnesses observed a male suspect attempt to pull a female from the driver’s seat of a vehicle in the Burchmart parking lot located in Hollywood. They left the parking lot only to stop again at a dirt path across the street from the Burchmart. At that time, the suspect allegedly picked the victim up from behind, while she yelled for him to put her down. Deputy Cole responded to the scene and conducted the investigation. The suspect, identified as Deontre Dwayne Bradshaw, 27, of Hollywood, was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 2ndDegree Assault.

CALIFORNIA, MD. – St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that on May 15, 2014, Deputy Fennessey responded to the Best Buy in California, for a reported theft in progress. Sergeant Robert Russell had quickly arrived at the business and attempted to place a male suspect, identified as Matthew Brian Thompson, 27, of Park Hall, into custody.
Thompson resisted but was handcuffed after a brief struggle with Sergeant Russell. The investigation revealed Thompson entered the store with his wife, identified as suspect Cassidy Lee Todd, 26, of Park Hall.
Thompson and Todd each selected and removed a cell phone from the store shelf and headed to the restrooms. Prior to entering the restroom, Todd allegedly handed Thompson the phone she had removed from the shelf. Thompson concealed the merchandise in his pants then attempted to leave the store without paying. Todd was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with Theft Under $1,000 and Theft Scheme Under $1,000. Thompson was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 2 COUNTS of Theft Under $1,000, Theft Scheme Under $1,000, and Resisting Arrest. There was no word from the Sheriff’s Department as to whether Thompson was allowed to keep the cell phone so he could make calls from jail.
5-17-14 MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT – At 11:30 AM, Deputy Wesner responded to the 44000 block of Medley’s Neck Road for an accident involving a motorcycle. The investigation revealed, the driver of the motorcycle, male, age 30, was traveling on Medley’s Neck Road when a vehicle backed out of a private driveway into the roadway. The driver of the motorcycle swerved to miss the vehicle but lost control and struck a ditch. The driver was transported to Prince George’s Shock Trauma for precautionary measures by helicopter.
5-17-14 INJURED SUBJECT – At 2:29 PM, Deputy Phelan was flagged down in the area of Chopticon High School by a parent. The parent informed Deputy Phelan her daughter, age 13, was involved in an accident while riding an all-terrain vehicle on their property. She was flown to Children’s Medical Center for precautionary measures.
5-17-14 MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT – At 6:10 PM, Deputy Vezossi responded to the 22000 block of Bayside Road for a motor vehicle accident. The investigation revealed the driver, male, age 52, failed to negotiate a turn and struck a telephone pole. The driver and a male passenger, age 19, were flown to Prince George’s Shock Trauma for precautionary measures. A second male passenger, age 20, was transported by ambulance to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital.
5-19-14 BURGLARY – A victim, who resides on Carmen Woods Drive in Lexington Park, reported unknown suspect(s) entered her residence sometime between 4-24-14 and 5-18-14 and spray painted graffiti on the walls. Case remains open and Deputy LaFave is investigating.
