LEXINGTON PARK &#8212; Apparently, one visitor to the Bay District firehouse didn’t arrive to see firemen sliding down poles or ringing bells and after a fair warning was reportedly told to take a hike. Police report that she didn’t listen and showed up with a cup of booze, not realizing perhaps that most firefighters have their own booze and don’t need it delivered to the firehouse.<br />
According to Sgt. Cara Grumbles of the St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Department, on September 25, 2013 at 6:02 pm, Deputy Wood of the Lexington Park COPs Unit observed Melody Lynn Bowen, 47, of Lexington Park on the property of the Bay District Fire Department located in Lexington Park.<br />
Bowen had been served a notice not to trespass for the property in September 2010. Deputy Wood made contact with Bowen and discovered she was also in possession of a cup containing an alcoholic beverage. Bowen was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with the alcohol violation and Trespass: Private Property. </p>

<p>LEONARDTOWN &#8212; Staying in the Hotel St. Mary’s must agree with one inmate as he will end up extending his stay after a display of bad manners.<br />
Police say that on September 28, 2013, Corporal Catlett with the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Division was distributing cleaning equipment to inmates. Inmate Paul Lorenzo Walker, 25, of Lexington Park struck a cleaning bottle sending it out of the food chute and striking Corporal Catlett. Walker was charged with 2nd Degree Assault on a Division of Corrections Employee by Deputy Cole. </p>
<p><strong>ABC’s of how to go to jail</strong>CALIFORNIA &#8212; Police report that one man took the fast track to jail on September 28, 2013, Deputies responded to the ABC Liquor Store and Lounge located in California, Maryland for a disturbance.<br />
On their arrival, Michael Brandon Lambeck, 23, of Hollywood approached Deputies cursing and yelling at them causing a disturbance.<br />
Bouncers at the establishment indicated Lambeck had been asked to leave and refused. Lambeck was the reason for the original call to 9 1 1 reporting a disturbance. Deputy Kerns ordered Lambeck to stop the behavior and he refused. Lambeck was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center by Deputy Kerns. He was charged with Disturbing the Public Peace. </p>
<p><strong>Have fist, will travel</strong></p>
<p>HOLLYWOOD &#8212; Cops report that on September 29, 2013 at approximately 10:36pm, Deputy Lance of the Patrol Division responded to a reported assault on Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood, Maryland.<br />
The victim reported being struck in the head by suspect Dustin Brian Kelly, 33, of Brunswick, Maryland with his fist while traveling in a vehicle. The victim had evidence of fresh injury. Kelly was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 2nd Degree Assault by Deputy Lance. </p>
<p><strong>What? No Free Booze?</strong><br />
CALIFORNIA &#8212; What a shock it must have been for one patron of a liquor store near Rt. 235 to learn that one can’t sample, by the bottle, under your coat, and then leave with the “free” samples without visiting the cashier.<br />
Police say that on September 29, 2013, the owner of California Wine and Spirits located in California, Maryland observed suspect Wendell Curtis Niles, 47, of Lexington Park, select 2 bottles of liquor and leave the store without paying. The incident was captured on the store’s surveillance camera. Niles was located and charged with Theft: Less than $100.00 on a Criminal Citation by Deputy Manns of the Patrol Division. </p>
<p><strong>Seven Years of Bad Luck</strong><br />
GREAT MILLS &#8212; It might have been worth it to one woman to clock another with a mirror in a heated argument. But she could have smashed a clock over the victim’s head instead of using a mirror. Then she would have simply done a little time (clock) instead of facing seven years of bad luck for breaking a mirror.<br />
Police say this story got started on September 29, 2013, when Deputy Gaskill of the Patrol Division responded to a residence in Great Mills for a reported assault. The victim reported suspect Katrina Lovette Ford, 39, of Great Mills struck the victim with a decorative wall mirror causing injury during an argument over money. Ford was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center by Deputy Gaskill. She was charged with 2nd Degree Assault. </p>

On September 29, 2013 at 2:05am, Deputy Lance of the Patrol Division responded to the area of Bristol Avenue and South Hampton Drive in Lexington Park for a fight in progress. On his arrival, Deputy Lance observed suspect Leslie Young, 18, of Lexington Park striking the victim with her fists. Deputy Lance pulled Young from the victim, however she continued to try and hit the victim with her fists. Young placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center by Deputy Lance. She was charged with 2nd Degree Assault. </p>
<p><strong>Ice Cream always goes better when smothered with Vodka</strong></p>
<p>GREAT MILLS &#8212; Police report that on September 28, 2013, Deputy Kerns of the Patrol Division responded to McKay’s Food and Drug located in Lexington Park for a reported shoplifter. Loss Prevention personnel observed suspect Jane Marie Bull, 51, of Lexington Park select a bottle of Vodka and a container of ice cream then leave the store without paying. Bull was charged with Theft: Less Than $100.00 by Criminal Citation. </p>

LEONARDTOWN &#8212; Offspring of French royalty don’t often make it to the Hotel St. Mary’s, but police say that on September 28, 2013, suspect Marie Antoinette Chase, 27, of Mechanicsville, Maryland was placed under arrest by Deputy Cole, of the Patrol Division, on an outstanding District Court warrant. She was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center by Deputy Cole. Upon entering the detention center and being searched again by corrections staff, 4 pills containing Codeine, a schedule 3 narcotic, were located in her bra. She was charged with Possession: Contraband in Place of Confinement and Removing a Prescription Label. </p>
<p><strong>Was A$$ kicking worth it?</strong>LEONARDTOWN &#8212; Police say that on September 28, 2013, Deputy C. Shomper of the Patrol Division responded to a residence in Leonardtown for an assault. The victim reported being struck in the face and thrown to the ground and kicked by suspect Wayne Eugene Davis, 43, of St. Leonard, Maryland during an argument. Witnesses corroborated the victim’s statement and Davis was placed under arrest. Davis was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with 2nd Degree Assault. </p>
