<p><a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;amazon&period;com&sol;Story-Marys-Today-Newspaper-ebook&sol;dp&sol;B006NSFV9S&sol;ref&equals;sr&lowbar;1&lowbar;1&quest;s&equals;digital-text&amp&semi;ie&equals;UTF8&amp&semi;qid&equals;1378564976&amp&semi;sr&equals;1-1&amp&semi;keywords&equals;the&plus;story&plus;of&plus;the&plus;rag"><img src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;the-chesapeake&period;com&sol;&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2013&sol;09&sol;The-Story-of-the-Rag&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" title&equals;"The Story of the Rag" width&equals;"200" height&equals;"200" class&equals;"alignleft size-full wp-image-2271" &sol;><&sol;a>ORAVILLE &lpar;September 7&comma; 2013&rpar; &&num;8212&semi; Police say that road-rage apparently was behind a serious crash that took place around 8&colon;30 am on Friday that resulted in one of the numbskulls escaping to parts unknown and the other taken to a hospital in critical condition&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;On September 6&comma; 2013 at approximately 0831 hours members of the St&period; Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division responded to the area of Three Notch Road and Harpers Corner Road in Mechanicsville for the reported motor vehicle collision&period; Upon arriving on the scene&comma; Deputies found a Nissan and Mitsubishi crashed in the center of the roadway&period; The operator of the Nissan had to be extricated from the vehicle by fire department personnel and was found to have serious life threatening injuries&period; The request for reconstruction was made and Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Team Members responded to the scene and assumed the investigation&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; Police say that their preliminary investigation revealed that Christopher Naoki Liggins&comma; 26 of Waldorf was operating a 1995 Nissan 240SX southbound on Route 235 in the area of Harpers Corner Road&period; Liggins lost control of the vehicle causing it to skid across the center grass median into the northbound lanes of Route 235&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Liggins vehicle entered the path of a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse&comma; being operated by Jeremy Patrick Clark&comma; 24 of LaPlata&comma; where it was struck on the driver’s side&period; Liggins sustained life threatening injuries and was flown from the scene to Washington Hospital Center by Maryland State Police Helicopter Trooper 7&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Clark did not complain of any injuries and signed a refusal for medical treatment on the scene&period; According to police&comma; during the course of the investigation witnesses reported that the Liggins vehicle had been involved in some sort of altercation&sol;road rage incident with a silver Toyota pickup truck which was bearing a Maryland agricultural registration plate&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; The witnesses advised the truck had cut off Liggins vehicle just prior to him losing control and crossing the grass median&period; The Toyota pickup truck continued southbound on Three Notch Road and turned left on Route 6 toward Huntersville&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;At this time police say that alcohol and drugs are not considered to be factors in the collision&semi; however speed does appear to be a factor&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Anyone who can provide further information on the Toyota Pickup or its operator&comma; as well as any other person who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact Corporal Brian Connelly of the St&period; Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office at &lpar;301&rpar;475-4200 Ext&period; 9010&period; This crash remains under investigation&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
