From NBC4 — Rescuers will continue their search Tuesday for a man who was swept away while wading in the Potomac River.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue crews called off their search for him shortly before 10 p.m. and will resume looking when it’s bright enough to see.
The man, who is in his 20s, was wading in the water at the Great Falls overlook near the Old Angler’s Inn when he slipped and ended up over his head, a fire department spokesperson told News4.
His friends were unable to grab him and saw him float downstream.
