<p>Dan Proctor White&comma; &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Whitey”&comma; 87 of Benedict&comma; Maryland passed away on August 23&comma; 2013 at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home&period; He was born on July 17&comma; 1926 in Grimesland&comma; NC to the late Dan and Jessie Proctor White&period; Besides his parents&comma; Whitey is preceded in death by a sister&comma; Adriene Dixon&period; He served in the Navy for 8 years&period; He worked for the US Government at the Census Bureau after his honorable discharge from the service&period; After Whitey’s retirement from the Government&comma; he went on to become a waterman&comma; spending all his time on the water&comma; fishing and crabbing&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Whitey is survived by his children&colon; son&comma; Mike White of Benedict&comma; MD and daughter Danita Kimble of Emmitt&comma; Idaho&period; Grandfather of Beth D’Agostino&comma; Michelle Humphreys&comma; Michael White&comma; Billy White&comma; and Eddie Kimble&period; Great grandfather of Alissa D’Agostino&comma; Nicholas D’Agostino and Kiersten Humphreys&comma; he is also survived by his siblings&comma; Bille Randall&comma; Jane Elks&comma; and Miles White and in laws&comma; Marie Willett&comma; Buddy Cooksey and Roger Cooksey&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The family will receive friends on Friday August 30&comma; 2013 at the Rausch Funeral Home&comma; 4405 Broomes Island Road&comma; Port Republic&comma; Maryland from 4-7 PM where a service will follow at 7 PM&period; Interment will be private&period; Memorial contributions may be made to Benedict Fire Department&comma; American Legion Post &num;238&comma; Hughesville or St&period; Mary’s Hospice&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;
