<p>Services&colon; A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday&comma; August 27&comma; 2013 at 10&colon;00AM in St&period; Joseph&&num;8217&semi;s Catholic Church&comma; Morganza&comma; MD with Father Keith Woods officiating&period; Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens&comma; Leonardtown&comma; MD &period; Visitation&colon; The family will receive friends on Monday&comma; August 26&comma; 2013 from 5&colon;00PM to 8&colon;00PM with prayers recited at 7&colon;00PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home&comma; Leonardtown&comma; MD&period; A&period; Lorraine Tennyson Wood&comma; 84 of Mechanicsville&comma; MD died August 20&comma; 2013 at Hospice House&comma; Callaway&comma; MD&period; Born March 27&comma; 1929 in Clements&comma; MD&comma; she was the daughter of the late Ira Francis and Mary Alberta Guy Tennyson&period; Lorraine is survived by her husband James Fred Wood whom she married on July 22&comma; 1950 in St&period; Joseph’s Catholic Church&comma; Morganza&comma; MD&comma; children&semi; Jay &lpar;Jill&rpar; Wood&comma; Geneva &lpar;John&rpar; Leon&comma; Nettie Harding all of Mechanicsville&comma; MD&comma; and Ray &lpar;Janet&rpar; Wood of Annapolis&comma; MD&comma; brother&comma; Jim Tom Tennyson of Mechanicsville&comma; MD&comma; Lorraine is also survived by 11 grandchildren&comma; and 7 great-grandchildren&period; In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter&semi; Connie &lpar;Geoff&rpar; Westbrook&comma; of Bushwood&comma; MD&comma; grandson&semi; Benjamin Raley&comma; siblings&semi; Pearl Duckett&comma; Nettie Yates&comma; Rip Tennyson&comma; John Tennyson&comma; Alberta Ferguson&comma; and Beatrice Nelson&period; Mrs&period; Wood was a lifelong St&period; Mary’s county resident&comma; she graduated from Margaret Brent High School in 1946&comma; she was a homemaker&period; Lorraine was a Scout mom&comma; and enjoyed playing the harmonica&period; She was a member of the St&period; Mary’s Two-Steppers&comma; Country Docks Western Dancers&comma; Chesapeake Country Cruizers&comma; Bells of St&period; Mary’s&comma; and St&period; Joseph’s choir&period; The family will receive friends on Monday&comma; August 26&comma; 2013 from 5&colon;00PM to 8&colon;00PM with prayers recited at 7&colon;00PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home&comma; Leonardtown&comma; MD&period; A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday&comma; August 27&comma; 2013 at 10&colon;00AM in St&period; Joseph’s Catholic Church&comma; Morganza&comma; MD with Father Keith Woods officiating&period; Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens&comma; Leonardtown&comma; MD&period; Pallbearers will be&semi; Adam Raley&comma; Castle Raley&comma; Jay Coombs&comma; Ben Harding&comma; Matt Wood&comma; and John Leon&comma; Jr&period; Memorial contributions may be made to the Hollywood Volunteer Rescue Squad and&sol;or Hospice House of St&period; Mary’s&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
