<p>GREAT MILLS, MD. &#8212; Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that o n October 9, 2014, Deputy Wesner responded to a residence on Kilbeggan Court in Great Mills, for a reported domestic assault. The victim alleged suspect <strong>Anthony James Cookson, 45, of Great Mills,</strong> struck the victim in the face with his fist. The victim was transported by ambulance to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injury to the face. Cookson was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 2<sup>nd</sup> Degree Assault.</p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">UPDATE: In St. Mary&#8217;s County District Court on May 7, 2015, St. Mary&#8217;s States Attorney Richard Fritz entered into a plea agreement with Rulapaugh to drop the assault and resisting arrest charges in return for a guilty plea to hindering and obstructing. The deal provided for Probation Before Judgement, sixty days in jail with all of the jail time suspended and no fine. </span></p>
<p>CALIFORNIA, MD. – First, she could have simply stopped for the school bus. Second, she could have given the deputy her driver&#8217;s license. She didn&#8217;t.</p>

<p>St. Mary&#8217;s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that on October 9, 2014, Deputy Bowen responded to a residence located on Catalina Lane in California, after several witnesses reported a vehicle passing a stopped school bus with red lights flashing.</p>
<p>Deputy Bowen made contact with suspect <strong>Joyce Marie Rulapaugh, 50, of California</strong>, who matched the description provided by witnesses. Rulapaugh refused to provide Deputy Bowen with her driver’s license and registration information so he may issue her a traffic citation. Eventually, Rulapaugh retrieved her driver’s license only to hold it up in the air refusing to allow Deputy Bowen to see it.</p>
<p>Deputy Bowen warned Rulapaugh several times if she did not provide the information to him she would be arrested. Rulapaugh ignored all warnings. She subsequently resisted arrest and pushed Deputy Bowen. Rulapaugh was placed under arrest after a brief struggle. She was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Obstructing/Hindering, 2<sup>nd</sup> Degree Assault, and Resisting Arrest.</p>

<p>LEONARDTOWN, MD. – Police report that on October 12, 2014, Deputy Flerlage responded to a residence on Johnson Road in Hollywood, for a reported domestic assault. The victim alleged suspect <strong>Darleen Lyn Johnson-Taylor, 47, of Leonardtown</strong>, kicked the victim in the abdomen and hit the victim in the face during an argument. Deputy Flerlage observed fresh evidence of injury on the victim. Deputy Flerlage located Johnson-Taylor and placed her under arrest. She was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with 2<sup>nd</sup> Degree Assault.</p>

Wilson called the victim in violation of an active protective order. Wilson was charged with 18 COUNTS Violation Protective Order.</p>

<p>LEONARDTOWN, MD. – Police say that on October 14, 2014, Deputy Dale Smith made contact with a victim at Sheriff’s Office Headquarters. The victim alleged suspect <strong>Shawn Lee Morgan, 41, of Arlington, VA</strong>, contacted the victim by text and email in violation of an active protective order. Deputy Smith located Morgan, while he was at District Court in Leonardtown and placed him under arrest. Morgan was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with 4 COUNTS Violation Protective Order.</p>

<p>CALIFORNIA, MD. – On October 14, 2014, Deputy Roszell responded to Kmart located on Three Notch Road in California, for a reported theft in progress. Kmart employees observed a white male, wearing a white tank top, remove a television set from the packaging, then exit the store with without paying. Deputy Roszell saw a male suspect in the parking lot matching the description provided by store employees. He was identified as the suspect who stole the television. Suspect <strong>Martin Roland Abell, 38, of Valley Lee,</strong> was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Theft Under $1,000 and 2 COUNTS of Property Destruction.</p>

<h2>Would guys like this break into a home? Cops say YES!</h2>
<p>LEXINGTON PARK, MD. – Cops picked a pair of purloining burglars in Patuxent Park.</p>
<p>On October 14, 2014, Deputy Wesner responded to a residence on Cabot Place in Lexington Park, after a witness reported a burglary to an unoccupied residence. Deputy Wesner located 2 suspects inside the residence, identified as <strong>Divon James Chase, 23, of Lexington Park, and Jordan Tyler McGee, 19, of Virginia</strong>.</p>
<p>Neither suspect had permission to be inside the residence. Chase and McGee were placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. They were charged with 4<sup>th</sup> Degree Burglary.</p>
