Cops nab fugitive Edwin L. Fletcher; wanted for driving over top of police car and injuring three officers

<p><em><strong>SEARCH ENDS WITH ARREST OF WICOMICO COUNTY FUGITIVE<&sol;strong><&sol;em><br &sol;>&NewLine;&lpar;DOVER&comma; DE&rpar; – According to the Maryland State Police&comma; the search for a fugitive wanted for an assault that injured three police officers in Wicomico County one week ago has ended with his arrest tonight in Delaware&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Edwin L&period; Fletcher&comma; 32&comma; of Salisbury&comma; Md&period;&comma; was arrested at about 6&colon;30 p&period;m&period; today by members of the Maryland State Apprehension Team&comma; in cooperation with Delaware law enforcement&period;  Fletcher was arrested without incident at a home in the 200-block of Dundee Road&comma; Dover&comma; Delaware&period;  At this time his relationship to others at the residence is unknown&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Fletcher will be taken before a Delaware Justice of the Peace for an extradition hearing&period;  It is not known at this time if he will waive extradition&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Fletcher had been sought by police throughout the Lower Shore region since the evening of March 26&comma; 2014&comma; when he fled after ramming a pickup truck into a police car as a multi-jurisdictional team of police officers was attempting to arrest him on a drug felony warrant in Wicomico County&period;   Fletcher drove up onto and over the police car&comma; inside of which were two state troopers and a sheriff’s deputy&comma; all of whom were injured&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Other details concerning the arrest are not currently known&period;  The investigation is continuing&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
