<p><figure id&equals;"attachment&lowbar;1941" aria-describedby&equals;"caption-attachment-1941" style&equals;"width&colon; 220px" class&equals;"wp-caption alignleft"><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;the-chesapeake&period;com&sol;&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2013&sol;08&sol;Chesapeake-Today-front-page-Aug-20131&period;jpg"><img src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;the-chesapeake&period;com&sol;&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2013&sol;08&sol;Chesapeake-Today-front-page-Aug-20131-220x300&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" title&equals;"Chesapeake Today front page Aug 2013" width&equals;"220" height&equals;"300" class&equals;"size-medium wp-image-1941" &sol;><&sol;a><figcaption id&equals;"caption-attachment-1941" class&equals;"wp-caption-text">On newsstands everywhere in Southern Maryland<&sol;figcaption><&sol;figure>LUSBY &&num;8212&semi; Calvert Sheriff&&num;8217&semi;s deputies report that at 1027 hours on August 28&comma; 2013&comma; units from the Sheriff&&num;8217&semi;s Office Patrol Division and Crash Reconstruction Team&comma; responded to the area of MD Rt&period; 4 and Southern Connector Boulevard for the report of a serious motor vehicle crash&period; The preliminary investigation revealed the white 1997 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck bearing MD registration LC5326 was the target of a lookout regarding a traffic complaint for reckless operation&period; The investigation further revealed the operator&comma; identified as Wesley Allen Preston&lpar;44 of Lexington Park&rpar;&comma; suffered a medical emergency&period; Roadway evidence revealed the vehicle was traveling south on MD Rt&period; 4&comma; struck the concrete divider&sol;curb at Southern Connector Boulevard&comma; and struck several street signs and a traffic light support pole&period; The vehicle rolled onto the driver&&num;8217&semi;s side and slid approximately 100 feet before coming to rest&period; The driver&comma; Preston&comma; sustained serious injuries&period; Preston was flown by Trooper 7 to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Unit in Baltimore&period; Preston is currently listed in critical condition&period; All evidence at this time indicates the cause of the accident was a medical emergency&period; This investigation is being handled by Deputy D&period; Roberts of the Calvert County Sheriff&&num;8217&semi;s Office<&sol;p>&NewLine;
