<p>9&comma; 1938 &&num;8211&semi; August 27&comma; 2013<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Visitation&colon;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Brinsfield Funeral Home<br &sol;>&NewLine; Saturday&comma; August 31&comma; 2013<br &sol;>&NewLine;12&colon;00 PM &&num;8211&semi; 2&colon;00 PM<br &sol;>&NewLine;Life Celebration <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Services&colon;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Brinsfield Funeral Home<br &sol;>&NewLine; Saturday&comma; August 31&comma; 2013<br &sol;>&NewLine;2&colon;00 PM<br &sol;>&NewLine;Funeral Service <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Cemetery Services&colon;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Private <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Rosemary Shepherd&comma; 75 of California&comma; MD died August 27&comma; 2013 at MedStar St&period; Mary&&num;8217&semi;s Hospital after a brief illness&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Rosemary was born in Hays&comma; KS in 1938 and was the school valedictorian her graduating year of 1956 at Ellis High School&period; She studied English and education at the University of Kansas&comma; earning her degree in 1960 after three and a half years&period; She went on to teach English to high school students&period; This work included teaching at Bonner Springs&comma; KS as well as a stint teaching Navy dependent children at the Argentia Naval Base in Newfoundland&comma; Canada&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> She and her husband Terry met at the base in Newfoundland and were married in 1963 in Norfolk&comma; VA&period; She had a period of travel during her husband&&num;8217&semi;s service&comma; which included stops in Monterey&comma; CA and Annapolis&comma; MD&period; In Annapolis she became the mother of a baby daughter&comma; Jennifer&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Later Rosemary moved with her family to Quakertown&comma; PA&comma; where she lived for 26 years&period; There she became one of the highest performing sales representatives in her region for Avon&comma; the cosmetics company&period; She retired in 1997 when she and her husband moved to Lusby&comma; MD where her husband has been working at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Rosemary was an avid reader and movie fan in addition to being a loving and devoted wife and mother&period; She is survived by her husband&comma; Terry&comma; her daughter&comma; Jennifer from New Jersey and<br &sol;>&NewLine; her sister&comma; Jackie from Kansas&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Family will receive friends for Rosemary&&num;8217&semi;s Life Celebration on Saturday&comma; August 31&comma; 2013 from 12&colon;00 p&period;m&period; until 2&colon;00 p&period;m&period; at the Brinsfield Funeral Home&comma; 22955 Hollywood Road&comma; Leonardtown&comma; MD 20650&period; A funeral service will be held at 2&colon;00 p&period;m&period; in the Brinsfield Funeral Home Chapel&period; Interment will be private&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Rosemary was charitably-minded and donated over the years to organizations as diverse as local food banks to the Salvation Army to children&&num;8217&semi;s charities&period; The family welcomes donations in her name to a charity of choice&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Condolences to the family may be made at www&period;brinsfieldfuneral&period;com&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Arrangements by the Brinsfield Funeral Home&comma; P&period;A&period;&comma; Leonardtown&comma; MD&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;<a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;the-chesapeake&period;com&sol;&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2013&sol;08&sol;Rosemary-Shepard&period;jpg"><img src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;the-chesapeake&period;com&sol;&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2013&sol;08&sol;Rosemary-Shepard-150x150&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" title&equals;"Rosemary Shepard" width&equals;"150" height&equals;"150" class&equals;"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1857" &sol;><&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;
