<p>August 11&comma; 1929 &&num;8211&semi; August 25&comma; 2013 Visitation&colon; First Saints Community Church&comma; St&period; Paul&&num;8217&semi;s Campus Wednesday&comma; August 28&comma; 2013 2&colon;00 PM &&num;8211&semi; 3&colon;00 PM Visitation Services&colon; First Saints Community Church&comma; St&period; Paul&&num;8217&semi;s Campus Wednesday&comma; August 28&comma; 2013 3&colon;00 PM Funeral Service Cemetery Services&colon; Arlington National Cemetery At a date to be determined&period; Jean Doris Day&comma; 84&comma; of Leonardtown&comma; MD died August 25&comma; 2013 at the Hospice House of St&period; Mary&&num;8217&semi;s&period; Born August 11&comma; 1929 in Roanoke&comma; Virginia&comma; she was the daughter of the late Margaret Hostetter Phelps and William Thomas Phelps&period; Jean has resided in St&period; Mary&&num;8217&semi;s county for the last thirty years&period; She attended services at First Saints Community Church at St&period; Paul&&num;8217&semi;s Campus in Leonardtown&comma; MD&period; She was a member of the United Methodist Women&&num;8217&semi;s Organization&comma; the Young at Heart Fellowship Group and the Bible Study Group at St&period; Paul&&num;8217&semi;s&comma; and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program&period; She was a homemaker who enjoyed crossword puzzles and game shows&period; Jean is survived by her children&comma; Linda Day Sterner of Thornburg&comma; VA&comma; Joan Day Gill of Fredericksburg&comma; VA and Robert Dunn Day of St&period; Augustine&comma; FL&semi; dear sister of Pearl P&period; Stavely of West Friendship&comma; MD&comma; her twin&comma; June P&period; O&&num;8217&semi;Donnoghue of York&comma; PA&comma; Frances P&period; Jones of College Park&comma; MD and Alfred Phelps of New Market&comma; MD&semi; Grandchildren Christopher Sterner&comma; Edward Sterner&comma; Colleen Cook and Kimberly Martelon and 7 Great Grandchildren&period; She is also survived by her dear friends&comma; the Lavender Family&period; Jean was pre-deceased by her husband the late Robert D&period; Day&semi; sisters Margaret P&period; Greenberg&comma; Elizabeth &&num;8220&semi;Libby&&num;8221&semi; Miller&comma; Gertrude &&num;8220&semi;Gertie&&num;8221&semi; Wilson&semi; and brother Clarence Phelps&period; A visitation will be held at the First Saints Community Church at St&period; Paul&&num;8217&semi;s campus&comma; 25550 Point Lookout Road&comma; Leonardtown&comma; MD 20650 on Wednesday&comma; August 28&comma; 2013 from 2&colon;00 P&period;M&period; &&num;8211&semi; 3&colon;00 P&period;M&period; A funeral service will follow at 3&colon;00 P&period;M&period;&period;&comma; with Pastors John Wunderlich and Ruth Dixon officiating&period; Interment will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery&comma; Arlington&comma; VA&period; Pallbearers will be Christopher Sterner&comma; Edward Sterner&comma; Raymond Jones&comma; Keith Lavender&comma; Matthew Lavender-Knott&comma; Guy Knott and MacKenzie Mead&period; In memory of Jean&comma; memorial contributions may be made to First Saints Community Church&comma; P&period;O&period; Box 95&comma; Leonardtown&comma; MD 20650 or to the Hospice House of St&period; Mary&&num;8217&semi;s Inc&period;&comma; P&period;O&period; Box 625&comma; Leonardtown&comma; MD 20650 Condolences to the family may be made at www&period;brinsfieldfuneral&period;com&period; Arrangements by the Brinsfield Funeral Home&comma; P&period;A&period;&comma; Leonardtown&comma; MD&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
