When questioned by local investigators, Dinkle falsely denied his involvement in the incident and said that he had resigned his office and withdrawn from the KKK months before the cross burning. When approached by the FBI, Dinkle again lied and told a special agent that he had been at home with his girlfriend when the cross burning occurred. He further claimed that he did not know a person who was, in fact, one of his superiors in the KKK at the time of the cross burning.

Baltimore Police release 911 calls of barricade at WMAR TV station in 48 hours

First-arriving officers did not find the suspect in the truck, and employees said they believed he was inside the station. Police evacuated station employees (one employee sheltered in place for the duration of the incident) and initiated a barricade deployment

According to his plea agreement, from at least 2003 to 2013, Purnell was a member of a group known as “Little Spelman” in the “down the hill” area of Cherry Hill. This group committed robberies, homicides, non-fatal shootings and distributed crack cocaine, heroin, cocaine and marijuana.

Anne Arundel County Police report that on May 14, 2014 at approximately 7:oo pm, detectives from Northern District’s Tactical Narcotics Team (TNT) and Tactical Patrol Unit (TPU) were working in an undercover capacity in the area of Church Street, in the Brooklyn area. While in the area, undercover TPU detectives made contact with two individuals in the area of Gischel and Church Streets. After a search of the individuals, detectives recovered a sawed-off 20 gauge Western Field Shot gun and (18) 20 gauge Remington shot gun shells.

Laurel: Jeffrey Ellis sentenced to 78 months in prison on kiddie porn charge

At least 250 images, including videos, of child pornography were recovered from the seized items. Logs and chats involving Ellis were also recovered from one of the laptop computers and hard drive. The recovered chats included conversations in which Ellis stated that he was having sex with a 13-year old girl and that he had been having sex with her for approximately two years. Ellis also sent a photo of the girl to the person with whom he was chatting. The child was identified and interviewed by law enforcement.

Heroin overdose deaths sweep region

City officials have issued a warning that dangerous heroin laced with the powerful painkiller fentanyl is circulating in Philadelphia.
The drug combo killed at least 28 people between March 3 and April 20, the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability said Monday. The department is awaiting test results on seven more people.

Fairfax friends died together in high-speed crash; Volvo disappeared into wooded gore for 48 hours

Investigators determined the vehicle traveled about 300 feet off the roadway before striking a tree. The force of the impact caused the car to break into multiple pieces.
State Police investigators determined the three men had been visiting friends at a home in Cockeysville. At about 1:30 a.m. on May 11th, they decided to leave and travel back to the apartment they shared in Fairfax, Va. Investigators believe the crash occurred shortly after they left Cockeysville, early Sunday morning.
