Upon speaking with the suspect at his residence located at 1418-I Taney Ave. Apt. 301, Frederick, Md., officers reportedly smelled the odor of marijuana inside the residence.

Police say that on December 19, 2014, at approximately 10:30 a.m., officers responded to assist the School Resource Officer at Arundel High School, located at 1001 Annapolis Road, Gambrills, MD in reference to a large fight that had broken out. This fight occurred during “Wildcat Hour” near the school cafeteria.

As the officer walked up on the vehicle, he observed the door of room #225 open with a male suspect exiting and holding a handgun.

The officer immediately drew his firearm and announced his presence at which time a second male suspect with a handgun exited the room. Both suspects then fled on foot toward Russet Green with the officer in pursuit.

On September 8, 2014 Bryan Ira Summers was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery, Robbery, Assault First Degree, Assault Second Degree, Burglary First Degree, Burglary Third Degree, Handgun on a person, Use of a Firearm to commit a Felony/Violent Crime and Theft under $10,000. Bryan Ira Summers was committed to the Anne Arundel County Detention Center on a Bond.

Police Beat: DUI driver smashed into signs of Ocean Downs and Ocean Pines as he chose new direction to jail

DUI-related Collision: On July 29, 2014, at approximately 0330 hrs, troopers responded to the area of MD Rt. 90 at the exit for MD Rt. 589 regarding a single vehicle collision. Upon the arrival of troopers it was determined Vinicius Freire Carneiro of Ocean City, MD, failed to maintain control of a 2004 Chevrolet truck as he exited onto MD Rt. 589 from westbound MD Rt. 90. The Chevrolet struck the Ocean Pines and the Ocean Downs Casino sign, traveled off the roadway, and into the woodline. Subsequently, the Chevrolet rolled onto its side. Carneiro refused medical treatment, but it was determined through the investigation he exhibited signs of impairment. Carneiro unsatisfactorily performed standardized field sobriety testing and was subsequently arrested. Carneiro was transported to the MSP Berlin Barrack, but he refused to submit to a breath test. He was subsequently charged with the collision event and the DUI.

Troopers fire on and kill mad pit bull after attack on woman; second in three days

According to the Maryland State Police a large pit bull that had reportedly chased a woman into her home was fatally wounded by a responding state trooper after it charged the trooper this afternoon in Cecil County.

At about 2:30 p.m. today, two troopers from the North East Barrack responded to the unit-block of Plum Shore Road, North East, Md., for the report of an aggressive dog on the loose. When troopers arrived, the complainant told them she was trying to get to her car from her home when the dog charged at her growling and barking. The woman fled to the safety of her home before the dog reached her. The dog was known in the neighborhood and troopers were shown the house where it belonged.

A combined local, state and federal law enforcement partnership has led to the disruption of a cocaine distribution network operating throughout the Upper Eastern Shore and the arrests of two dozen suspects.
Police believe three suspects were involved in directing the operation. The first suspect is identified as Adrian L. Reed, aka “Slick,” 37, of the 2200-block of Pondtown Road, Chestertown, Md.
