Five-time DUI Driver Christopher Cotsford Crashed into home in Trailer Park; Gained Set of Teeth Marks from K-9 Hakan

LEXINGTON PARK, MD. – Police say that a man who stole a truck after trying to choke a person raced away from a patrol car on Great Mills Road and then crashed into the porch of mobile home in Lord Calvert Trailer Park in Great Mills.

The record of this five-time DUI driver stretches back for years in Maryland and spans three counties and four different States Attorneys and at least that many District Court and Circuit Court Judges. The list of the various encounters of Christopher Cotsford follows this latest DUI-fueled adventure.

St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that on January 21, 2015, at 8:18 PM, deputies responded to a residence in the 19000 block of Three Notch Road for a reported assault. While responding to the residence, the Emergency Communications Center, (ECC), advised the suspect identified as Christopher Lee Cotsford, 32, of Great Mills, allegedly stole a vehicle, 1997 Ford Explorer, and fled the scene.

CENTREVILLE, MD. — Kaitlin Ashley Omara was sentenced on Jan. 13, 2015 to three years in jail for killing a motorcyclist and his passenger while she drove under the influence in a blazing crash in 2013.

Queen Anne County States Attorney Lance Richardson reported that on September 17, 2014 Kaitlin Ashley Omara of 439 Barnes Ave., Westminster, Maryland entered a plea of guilty to two counts of Negligent Homicide while under the influence of alcohol.

Police say that instead of submitting, he became hostile and attempted to walk away from the deputy which caused the deputy to take steps to prevent him from leaving. Santos-Villalta then initiated a physical confrontation with the deputy and fought the deputy’s efforts to take him into custody.

At one point, the suspect placed both hands around the deputy’s throat in an attempt to choke the deputy. The deputy became engaged with a serious struggle to gain the control of Santos that was not completed until additional law enforcement officers arrived.

GREAT MILLS, MD. — On Friday, December 19, 2014 at 7:33 pm, Tpr. A. Oyler initiated a traffic stop on a gold passenger car on Route 237 at Horse Head Road for a minor traffic infraction. Upon making contact with the driver, Amanda L. Kinder, 30, of Great Mills, Tpr. Oyler observed that she appeared to be under the influence. Tpr. Oyler also observed a juvenile, 9 months, in the backseat. Ms. Kinder performed Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and was subsequently placed under arrest for Driving While Impaired by Drugs or Alcohol. A search incident to arrest produced suspected CDS, and Ms. Kinder admitted to having taken Suboxone and Xanax prior to driving

HOLLYWOOD, MD. St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that a Texas man with a pricey hot rod took a cold dip into the Patuxent River on Christmas Day.

There were no known baptismal ceremonies taking place on that holy day.

Deputies responded to the end of Clark’s Landing Road for the report of a vehicle in the river.

The investigation revealed, Douglas Scott Berkshire, 38, of Austin, Texas, drove a 2011 BMW 335I, 300-400 feet off of the roadway into the water. He was subsequently arrested and charged with Driving under the Influence.

Prince William Police Beat: Jose had all the wrong moves when busted for DUI; smacked cop

The employee followed the woman outside to the parking lot area of the store, at which time he identified himself as a loss prevention employee and requested that the accused return to the store. The woman followed the employee to the doorway of the store at which point she removed a can of pepper spray from the jacket she was wearing and sprayed the employee in the face. After spraying the employee, the woman fled from the area on foot. The employee was able to retrieve the items from the employee prior to her departure from the store. During the investigation, officers obtained video surveillance that led to the identity of the accused. No injuries were reported. Darnesha Michelle White, of 2714 Shipley Terrace, SE, Washington, D.C. was identified as the suspect and is on the lam.
