On September 24, 2014, at 11:16 p.m., Northern District officers responded to Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and Amberly Road for a reported citizen robbery. Upon arrival, officers met with the 20-year-old male victim and a male witness. The victim displayed visible injuries as a result of the attempted robbery. The investigation revealed that the victim and the witness went to a residence in the 100 block of Marley Neck Road to meet with known individuals who were going to purchase alcoholic beverages for them since they were under the age of 21.

INDIAN HEAD, MD. (Sept. 17, 2014) — Charles County Sheriff’s investigators assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division arrested Richard Cecil Anno, 24, of Indian Head in connection with the robbery of the PNC bank that occurred on August 25 on North Prospect Avenue in Indian Head. Through investigation, detectives report that they developed information that linked Anno to the case.

Bryan Ira Summers was committed to the Anne Arundel County Detention Center on a Bond.

St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that detectives have rounded up a gang who preyed on two old women in a home in Town Creek, robbed them and caused injuries. The crime was planned in retaliation for Jessica L. Johnson, 24, of Mechanicsville, being fired, say police. The robbers were armed during the robbery and unfortunately, the residents of the home were not and didn’t get a chance to blast them into eternity.

SALISBURY, MD. — The violent invasion of the home of Donald G. “Donnie” Mariner on April 16,, 2014 by one or more suspects ended with the death of Mariner and the brutal beating of another resident of the home. Now an arrest has been made in that murder.

The Maryland State Police have released sketchy details about the day of the murder but to date have yet to identify the other victim, fearing for that man’s safety.

Bomb Thweatt earned cash from 3 banks

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police –Major Crimes Division have arrested and charged Morris Kenneth Thweatt, age 46, of the 7600 block of Maple Avenue in Takoma Park, for the robberies of three banks in Silver Spring.

Investigation by Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes detectives revealed that during these bank robberies, the male suspect, later identified as Thweatt, would enter the bank and pass a note to the teller stating that he had a bomb. Thweatt would then display a device wrapped in foil, claiming it was a bomb.

Beltway Crime Beat: Gregory Evans says he’s guilty of armed robbery; FBI seeks his laughing cohort

According to Evans’ plea agreement, on January 22, 2014, Evans and others robbed a store in the 4100 block of Southern Avenue in Capitol Heights, Maryland. Evans and a co-conspirator forced a store employee at gunpoint to open the cash register. While Evans was taking the money from the cash register, his co-conspirator placed a gun to the head of a second victim and stole $785 from the victim’s pockets.

A little over an hour later, Evans and two co-conspirators entered a liquor store located in the 3300 block of Walters Lane in District Heights, Maryland. Evans brandished a black handgun, jumped over the counter, pointed the gun at store employees and ordered the employees to lay on the ground. A second conspirator brandished a silver handgun and stood by the front door. A third, unidentified co-conspirator jumped the counter and removed money from a cash register. Evans then pointed the gun at one of the employees and ordered the employee to open another cash register. Evans then took the money from that register, opened another cash register and removed money from that register as well. Evans and the co-conspirators then left the liquor store, got into a van and fled the area.

Upon arrival deputies determined a white male suspect entered the store and proceeded behind the counter where he removed five cartons of cigarettes from the shelf. A store employee confronted the suspect at which time the suspect raised his shirt indicating he was armed with a handgun.

The suspect fled on foot from the store and was pursued by two citizens who had witnessed the incident. The suspect was able to elude capture. The Criminal Investigations Division was contacted and assumed the investigation.

Malicious Wounding | Assault by Mob – On July 6th at 7:08PM, officers responded to the Valero Service Station located at 13295 Trowbridge Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a fight with weapons.

The victims, a 28 year old man and a 25 year old man – both of Woodbridge, reported to police that they were pulling into the gas station when another vehicle, occupied by three of the accused individuals below, pulled in front, cutting them off. A verbal altercation ensued between the parties involved. The suspects eventually got back into their vehicle and left. The suspects returned a short time later, with a fourth individual.
