Anne Arundel Police Beat: Officer Christopher Love recognized for tracking down serial burglars

Officer Love’s tenacity and good old fashion police work lead to the arrest of one suspect and possibly two more that had started a pattern of burglaries in the Crofton Community. Also, property was recovered from several other burglaries. If it were not for his actions there is no telling how many more burglaries would have been committed before an arrest would have been affected and the spree put to a halt. Officer Love is truly deserving of the Officer of the Month for Western District for the month of March 2015.

Murder USA: one died from lead poisoning, two car-loads of dopes caught red-handed with heroin, say cops

The complainant provided a description of three subjects and their vehicle. The vehicle, a Mercury Grand Marquis, was observed pulling into the Shell Gas Station in the 2500 block of Riva Road. Officers made contact with the occupants, at which time they observed individually packaged baggies of heroin on the front passenger floor board. A total of 38 baggies containing 30.6 grams of heroin valued at $3,674 along with $2,987 in U.S. currency. All three occupants were taken into custody and charged with Possession of CDS and Possession with Intent to Distribute. Carroll and Cornish were also served with open warrants

Anne Arundel Police Beat: Gas Station Robbed by Rubber Glove Bandit – GLEN BURNIE, MD. – On December 15, 2014, at approximately 11:00 a.m., officers from the Eastern District responded to the Shell Gas Station located in the 300 block of Hospital Drive for a robbery of the business.

Upon arrival, officers learned that a male suspect entered the business and demanded money. The suspect forced the cashier to open the register, grabbed an undisclosed amount of money and fled the store. The suspect was last seen running towards a local apartment complex in the rear of the business. Numerous officers and K-9 searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect never displayed a weapon during the incident, but he kept his hand in his waist area, implying a weapon existed.

As a result of the incident, detectives from HSI interviewed Ronald Santos at Northern District. During the interview, Santos admitted to being “Obsessed” with being a police officer. In addition, he confessed to impersonating a police officer prior to his arrest. During the incident on October 18, 2014, Santos stated he was a police officer and a Naval Investigative Service Special Agent. During his contact with officers, he admitted to displaying a replica gold special agent badge to police officers. Santos stated he purchases replica police badges online.
