ARNOLD, MD. – Remember when two women would load up their van with all kinds of junk they had previously bought, collected, inherited or claimed from yard sales and head off to a regional flea market or just set up their own sale in one of the many dilapidated strip malls in the region?

Well, this story is not about those kinds of women. These are different purveyors who police say are in the business of selling doom, death, and destruction, due to what they found in their van on July 17, 2017.

Police say that on July 2017, detectives from Eastern District’s Tactical Patrol Unit (TPU) and Tactical Narcotics Team (TNT) received complaints in reference to drug sales and use being conducted in the Severna Park and Arnold area shopping center parking lots. The complaint described several females selling and using illegal drugs inside a white Ford Windstar van.

Anne Arundel Police say that on July 17, 2017, detectives were conducting surveillance in the above areas. At approximately 7:25 p.m., detectives observed a vehicle matching the description located in a parking lot in of the 500 block of Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. The vehicle was followed and minor driving infractions were observed. The vehicle was subsequently stopped, and while detectives were speaking with the two occupants, they observed drug paraphernalia in plain view. A search of the vehicle was conducted and as a result, detectives located the following:

43.3 grams crack cocaine (approximate street value $4,300)

40.9 grams of heroin (approximate street value $4,800)

23.7 grams powder cocaine (approximate street value $2,300)

Digital scale

$1784.00 US Currency

.4 grams crack cocaine was found on the driver inside under her under garment.

Police say that both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to Eastern District for processing. Once at Eastern and additional .4 grams crack cocaine was found on the driver inside under her under garment. Both subjects were charged with three counts of possession with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of paraphernalia.
