UPPER MARLBORO, MD.  — Prince George’s Police report yet another murder has taken place in the land which is likely to see an explosion in the number of national funeral home chains setting up shop due to the landscape being littered with corpses on a daily basis.

On Sunday, July 16, 2017, at 4:11 AM, PG Police say an unknown male was found unresponsive in the roadway of the 6200 block of 60th Ave.  He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say that the autopsy performed, with same day service from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of Maryland, reveals the death was a homicide.  The manner of death: trauma to body/unknown cause.  The Hispanic male appears to be in his 30’s.

Detectives are working to identify the unknown Latino male victim, find witnesses, and determine what happened.  No further information at this time.

MURDER USA: PG Detectives Investigate Fatal Shooting of Traumone Lesene

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD. — Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in District Heights Tuesday morning. The decedent is 29-year-old Traumone Lesene of Canal Street in Southwest Washington. Preliminarily, this does not appear to be a random shooting.

On July 11, 2017, at about 2:40 am, patrol officers responded to the 1500 block of Forest Park Drive for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, the officers discovered Lesene outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man was also located suffering from a gunshot wound. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Preliminarily, detectives are investigating whether the shooter’s actions were justified.

Lesene entered a guilty plea to fleeing a law enforcement officer on July 19, 2013, in District of Columbia. He was sentenced to ten months in jail and three years of probation.

Murder USA: KILLING THE STEPFATHER; Police say Navar Beverly settled beef by beating man to death

BOWIE, MD. — The Homicide Unit arrested a man in connection with the murder of his stepfather. The suspect is 38-year-old Navar Beverly of the 15000 block of Dalby Court in Bowie. The victim is 65-year-old Ronald Pinkney also of Dalby Court.

On July 8th, around 8:20 am, officers with the City of Bowie Police Department responded to the 15000 block of Dalby Court after receiving a 911 call about a resident found deceased. When they arrived, they found the victim inside of his home suffering from apparent trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the manner of death a homicide. The cause of death was asphyxiation.

Responding City of Bowie officers was able to quickly gather the suspect’s information and the van he was likely driving. This information was provided to police agencies throughout the region. Shortly thereafter, the suspect’s van was seen driving on Hampton Park Boulevard by our patrol officers. Officers attempted to perform a traffic stop, at which time the suspect fled. Officers pursued the van, with the pursuit coming to an end at the intersection of Central Avenue and Devonwood Drive. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was arrested.

The preliminary investigation reveals the suspect and victim had a history of disputes, both verbal and physical.

Beverly is charged with first and second-degree murder. He is in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.

MURDER USA: Who killed Anthony Russell?

Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in Chillum. The victim is 37-year-old Anthony Russell of Alice Avenue in Oxon Hill. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On July 8th, at about 5:15 am, patrol officers responded to the 5700 block of Cypress Creek Drive for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, the officers discovered the victim outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and motive in this case.

MURDER USA: Two drug dealers nabbed for murder of another drug dealer – no honor among thieves

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD. — If you can’t trust your fellow drug dealer to conduct business without acting out some Hollywood scene of bloody gunfights, is it really worth it to deal with such lowlifes?  The dead guy in this story isn’t around to answer that question but if Carrington Carter had it to do over again, he might have picked different alleged hoodlums to deal with.

The Homicide Unit has charged two suspects in connection with a fatal shooting in Capitol Heights in December. The suspects are 28-year-old Julius Senior of the 2400 block of Baikal Loop in Upper Marlboro and 22-year-old Jamal Garner of the 50th block of Bryant Street in Northwest DC. They’re both charged in connection with the murder of 27-year-old Carrington Carter II of Windjammer Court in Fort Washington.

On December 30th, at about 10:10 pm, the victim was found suffering from gunshot wounds outside in the 7100 block of White Pearl Place. He died a short time later at a hospital.

The preliminary investigation reveals the fatal shooting stemmed from an illegal drug transaction. 

Senior is charged with first and second-degree murder. Garner is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder. They are both in custody in the District and are awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County.
