MURDER USA Two homicides in Salisbury; Manhunt Underway for Suspects in Fatal Friday Murders

(SALISBURY, MD) – Maryland State Police homicide investigators have arrested two additional suspects believed to be involved in the murder of a Wicomico County man early last Saturday morning.
John Schoolfield 3rd, 17, of Salisbury, Md., is charged as an adult with first degree murder, second degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a violent felony crime, first-degree assault, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit second-degree murder, conspiracy to use a firearm in the commission of a violent felony crime, and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault. He is being held in the Wicomico County Detention Center.
Courtlen Coston, 18, of Salisbury, Md., is charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony violent crime, first-degree assault and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. He is being held in the Wicomico County Detention Center.
Schoolfield and Coston, along with Ryan Holden, who was arrested June 10th, are charged in connection with the murder of Anthony Cropper, 57, of Salisbury, Md. Cropper was shot just after 1:00 a.m. on June 10th, after he answered a knock at the door of a friend’s home in the 100-block of Middle Neck Road and exchanged words with several individuals.
Maryland State Police report that their fugitive apprehension team nabbed a suspect in the murder of Anthony Cropper.
The suspect is identified as Ryan C. Holden, 20, of Salisbury, Md. After consultation with the Wicomico County State’s Attorney’s Office, Holden was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree assault, and use of a firearm in the commission of a violent crime. He is currently being held in the Wicomico County Detention Center.
(SALISBURY, MD) – Two murders in Salisbury have sent Maryland State and Salisbury police searching for multiple suspects believed to have been involved in the overnight June 10, 2017, slayings of two men. One man was shot dead in his home and another in an after-party parking lot confrontation at the Salisbury VFW.
Maryland State Police said the shooting victim #1for Fatal Friday is Anthony Cropper, 57, of Salisbury, Md. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Information regarding suspects in the Cropper murders is vague at this time, say investigators. Investigators have been told there was more than one suspect, in the Cropper murder, however further descriptive information is unavailable at this time.
The second victim is identified as Jaquanta S. Walton, aka Jaquonta Walton, 20, of Salisbury, Md. He was pronounced dead on June 10, 2017, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
The preliminary investigation into the Cropper homicide indicates that just after 1:00 a.m. on June 10, 2017, officers from the Salisbury Police Department responded to a call for a shooting in the 1100-block of Middleneck Road, Salisbury, Md. Upon their arrival, officers and EMS personnel found the victim had sustained what appeared to be at least one gunshot wound and was deceased. Salisbury Police Department detectives responded, and a request was made for the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit to conduct the investigation.
Preliminary investigative information indicates that shortly before the call was made to police, Cropper had answered a knock at the door and was apparently confronted by several suspects and words were exchanged before shots were fired and the suspects fled the scene.
Cropper was at the home of a friend when the shooting occurred, according to police. There were several people in the home who came to his aid and called the police. Police say that no one else in the home was injured in the incident.
A motive is unclear at this time. State Police investigators obtained a search warrant for the scene, and crime scene technicians have been processing for evidence throughout the day. Investigators have conducted numerous interviews and will continue to contact individuals to develop additional information. The victim’s body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to verify the cause and manner of death.

Jaquanta Walton shot dead in the parking lot of VFW after the party ended
(SALISBURY, MD) — Some might say that there were only two murders in Salisbury on June 10, 2017, and state that shows that things are looking up when compared to Baltimore which can easily account for three more stiffs being trucked to the Office of the Medical Examiner in just one night.
Maryland State Police report that at about 1:48 a.m. on Saturday, June 10th, officers from the Salisbury Police Department were dispatched to Peninsula Regional Medical Center after personnel there reported a person suffering from a gunshot wound was at the hospital. Officers responded and were told the victim was deceased. The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit was requested to assume the investigation.
Police say that Jaquanta S. Walton, aka Jaquonta Walton, 20, of Salisbury, Md. and a friend had been attending a party on Friday, June 9, 2017, at the VFW, in the 800-block of West Main Street, Salisbury. The establishment closed at 1:00 a.m. and dozens of people, including the victim, were out on the parking lot.
Suffering from a gunshot, Walton was dumped off at the emergency room by a friend who left.
Police say that Walton was approached by an unknown suspect who shot him at least once in the torso, before fleeing the scene on foot.

Walton got into a private vehicle and was driven to Peninsula Regional Medical Center, where he was dropped off. No one else in the parking lot when the shooting occurred reported being injured.
Maryland State Police crime scene technicians responded to the scene and processed the area for evidence. Investigators continue to conduct interviews and follow-up on leads as they work to determine what happened and who is responsible. The victim’s body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
Apparently with the aid of a crystal ball, the Maryland State Police, at a very early point in the investigation, said that they have no indication at this time that this shooting is in any way related to the other fatal shooting in Salisbury that occurred about 45 minutes earlier.
A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspect in this case by the Lower Eastern Shore Crime Solvers. Persons with information should call 410-548-1776 and may remain anonymous.
