The Nissan’s driver, Tanna D. Gardner, 23, of Richmond, Va., was shot and died at the scene. 

Nissan Passenger, Sharayne Danielle Nichole Holland, 26, of the 9300 block of Stoney Run Place in Manassas, Va., was also shot. She was transported to VCU Medical Center, where she died later Sunday morning.

A 24-year-old male passenger from Woodbridge, Va., was shot and is still being treated at VCU Medical Center for life-threatening injuries.

The remaining four passengers were not injured in the shooting.

State police still believe the Nissan was targeted by the shooter.

RICHMOND JOINS BALTIMORE AND CHICAGO AS HELL-HOLES OF MURDER

RICHMOND CITY  – Driving on I-95 through Richmond is especially dangerous due to the high crime, out-of-control gang violence and ineffective law enforcement; now the Virginia State Police report that a female motorist was shot dead in what they termed a “targeted” attack on the highway.

Virginia State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in regards to the shooting of a vehicle Sunday morning May 14, 2017, that occurred around 3:40 a.m., I-95 northbound Exit 75 in the city of Richmond.  

Virginia State Police was called to I-95 northbound at the exit around 3:43 a.m., where the victim’s vehicle had stopped.  

The vehicle, a 2017 Nissan, was traveling on I-95 northbound when a newer model white four-door sedan pulled along the driver’s side and fired at the vehicle. It was determined that the vehicle had been shot at multiple times.  There were seven occupants in the victim’s vehicle. 

The adult female driver died at the scene, a female passenger was transported to MCV where she died, and a male passenger was transported to MCV with serious life-threatening injuries. There were no other injuries.  The shooting is considered to be a targeted incident.
