The Queen Anne’s County Drug Task Force began the intense investigation in January 2016, after investigators developed information indicating several distinct drug trafficking organizations were operating in Queen Anne’s County. Police learned these operations were responsible for importing large amounts of heroin, crack and powder cocaine, marijuana and Oxycodone into the region for over a decade.

The Queen Anne’s County Drug Task Force is comprised of members of the Maryland State Police, the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office, the Queen Anne’s County Office of the State’s Attorney, the Centreville Police Department, the Maryland Natural Resources Police, and members of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). Taskforce investigators believes some of the individuals arrested, operated businesses in the area to provide a cover for the illegal activities.
