Dominique Jerrod Lane Chose Life of Crime; Charged with Burglary 

WOODBRIDGE, VA. Prince William County Police report that on January 12 at 12:40 PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 17300 block of Sligo Lp in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an alarm activation. Witnesses reported to police that an unknown man grabbed a package from the front porch then walked to the rear of the residence where he forced entry into the home through a rear door before fleeing the area on foot.
The victim, a 55-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that a gaming console and electronic device were missing.
Through the investigation, detectives with the Property Crimes Unit were notified that several on-line purchases were made using the victim’s electronic device. A search warrant was subsequently executed to identify the subscriber information for the IP address of the suspect’s computer on February 7. As a result of the search, detectives were able to identify the accused and obtained warrants for his arrest. The accused was located and arrested without incident at his residence on February 24.

Indecent Exposure – On February 25 at 7:10AM, officers responded to the 10300 block of Launch Cir in Manassas (20109) to investigate an indecent exposure. The victim, a 51 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she was walking in the above area when she observed an unknown man expose himself and make an obscene gesture. The victim immediately left the area then contacted police. No other contact was made between the two parties. Officers checked the area and did not locate the suspect.

Black male, 6’00”, 150lbs with a thin build – No further description provided
Last seen wearing a black hat, brown sweater, blue shirt, and tan pants
Residential Burglary – On February 25 at 10:55PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10100 block of Statesboro Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:00PM and 10:15PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through an unlocked rear window. No property was reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On February 25 at 5:07PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7800 block of Gateshead Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:45AM and 5:00PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a rear glass sliding door which was shattered. Shoes, a gaming console, and video games were reported missing.

Attempted Malicious Wounding –

On February 23 at 1:54 PM, officers responded to the 7400 block of Langholm Way in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 17-year-old male juvenile of Manassas, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused knocked the victim to the ground and attempted to stab him with a knife. The victim was eventually able to get away from the accused and contact police. The accused damaged the front door before leaving the area on foot.  Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was located a short time later and arrested without incident.
