CHURCHTON, MD. — Anne Arundel County Police report that Alfred Sugg was charged with robbery and his getaway driver, Eric James MacKay, 22, of 1202 Bayview Ave. in Shadyside, Md., was charged as an accomplice after they robbed an older citizen in a store parking lot.

Police say that on December 5, 2015, at approximately 9:00 am, officers responded to the parking lot of Christopher’s Fine Foods, 5570 Shadyside Road, for a robbery of a citizen.  Officers found the victim, a 75-year-old female, had been shopping in the store and as she was returning to her car, a male attacked her from behind, pushed her to the ground and took her purse.

Police say that Sugg then entered the passenger side a red Volvo sedan with MacKay as the wheelman and fled the scene.  Officers were assisted in their investigation by numerous witnesses from the store who saw the suspect wandering around inside, and speaking with various customers.  The suspect also spoke with the victim in the store before robbing her outside.  Investigators were quickly able to identify suspect, and with additional interviews, were able to identify the driver of the “getaway vehicle”.

A lookout was broadcasted for the suspect and suspect vehicle.  At approximately 4:30 pm, an officer located and stopped the suspect vehicle on Mayo Road in Edgewater.  Both suspects were taken into custody, and additional evidence was recovered that linked both suspects to the crime.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department would like to thank all the witnesses who quickly came forward to help identify and take these two criminals off the streets.

Mackay had a series of drug arrests and was charged in Ocean City in June with DUI. On Dec. 7, 2015, Mackay was released on bail pending trial in Anne Arundel District Court. Mackay faces trial on drug charges on March 4, 2016.

The Worcester County States Attorney may now revoke the Probation before Judgement given MacKay on Sept. 4, 2015, that resulted from the charge of DUI in Ocean City on June 7, 2015.

MacKay was issued enough tickets by Anne Arundel County Police Officer Smith to fill the trunk of his Volvo on Nov. 1, 2015, including a charge of DUI after a traffic stop on Central Ave. at Hillside Drive in Anne Arundel County.  MacKay was ordered held on a $5,000 bail on Nov. 1st.  Bond was posted the same day, and MacKay was released from jail. MacKay is set for trial in Annapolis District Court on Jan. 27, 2016.

The Maryland District Court Commissioners or Judge involved in the latest robbery arrest of MacKay must not have a computer to discover MacKay was already on probation and out on bail on two other criminal charges from this year or else, they simply do not care. The possibility that the judicial officer involved is incompetent remains a possibility.

Sugg the thug who apparently likes to mug little old ladies will be able to brag about his escapades in prison should he be convicted.  Sugg, 20, of 1194 Grove Ave., in Shadyside, Md., was charged by Annapolis City Police Officer Murphy with robbery, assault, and theft from an offense that took place on Dec. 2, 2015, and on Dec. 8, 2015. Sugg was held on a $25,000 bond after a hearing on Dec. 8th.

The crimes committed allegedly by Sugg the Thug on Dec. 5, 2015, resulted in a $10,000 bond and court records show he remains in jail.

Sugg is currently on probation for a drug charge in which he entered a guilty plea on Aug. 19, 2014, in Anne Arundel District Court.
