CALIFORNIA, MD. — Who is this dirtbag who ripped off a wallet and cellphone from a citizen in the parking lot of the Giant Food in California, Maryland?

Maryland State Police report that on Tuesday, July 21,2015 at 5 pm, TFC Mersman with the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack, responded to the Giant Food Store located at 45101 First Colony Boulevard, California, St.  Mary’s County, Md. for the reported strong armed robbery.

Police say the unidentified dirtbag  approached the citizen and started asking about “papers” as a distraction. The suspect then reached into the victim’s car and stole his wallet and phone. The suspect removed the victim’s Maryland driver’s license from the wallet and threw the wallet back in the vehicle.

Police say the dirtbag subsequently left the area in a small silver passenger car. The victim later called his phone and spoke to the suspect, who stated the phone could be located at the Ross Store located in California, Maryland. The security footage of the suspect was obtained from Ross. The suspect was observed handing the phone to a female employee of the store.
