Man Found Dead On Grove Avenue

NORFOLK, VA. — Baltimore is not about to get ahead of Norfolk killers, not by a long shot.

Police say that shortly before 2:00 a.m. on June 2, 2015, Norfolk Dispatchers received a call for a possible stabbing that had occurred. Officers located a man in the 9300 block of Grove Avenue and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Norfolk Police Detective Division is currently investigating this incident, which is being classified as a homicide. The exact cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and the victim’s identification will not be released until next of kin is properly notified.

Man shot in parking lot on Ligon Street

NORFOLK, VA. – Police say that shortly after 2:45 pm today police received a call for a gunshot victim in a parking lot in the 200 block of Ligon Street. Once police arrived they found a 28-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with what appears to be, at this time, non-life threatening injuries.

Man Dies In Kimball Court Shooting

NORFOLK, VA. – The victim in this weekend’s homicide has been identified as 29-year-old Felix Smallwood of the 6200 block of Alexander Street.

Shortly before 1:00 A.M., 9-1-1 dispatchers received a call for gunshots being fired in the 700 block of Kimball Court.

Upon arrival, police located a man outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man died at the scene.

Norfolk Homicide Investigators are actively investigating this incident. No other information is available at this time.

Norfolk Detectives Actively Investigating Homicide

NORFOLK, VA. — The victim in the homicide on May 21, 2015, has been identified as 23-year-old Justin Jamison of the 700 block of River Creek Road, Chesapeake.

Shortly after 6:30 P.M., 9-1-1 dispatchers received a call for a gunshot victim in the 2400 block of Ballentine Boulevard.

Upon arrival, police located a 23-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man died at the scene.

Norfolk Detectives are actively investigating this incident and are classifying it as a homicide. Investigators are looking for a suspect described as a black man, wearing all black.

Yesterday’s shooting was the City of Norfolk’s 8th homicide in 2015.
