CHESAPEAKE BEACH, MD. — The Maryland State Police report that on 4/6/15 at 10:34 am, Trooper First Class Smith responded to the 7700 block of C St. in Chesapeake Beach for a reported theft from a vehicle.  Unknown suspect(s) removed sunglasses, a hooded sweater and damaged the antenna and wiring on the satellite radio system in the victim’s vehicle.  Investigation continues.

 

SMIB OF THE YEAR: Ann Chilastri and juvenile both busted for DUI on drugs

PORT REPUBLIC, MD. — One knows for sure they are in the land of drugs, drinking and driving while blitzed from this news story from the Maryland State Police. On 4/6/15 at 3:40 pm, Trooper First Class Lewis responded to a single vehicle accident in the 5100 block of Broomes Island Rd. in Port Republic.  A standardized field sobriety test was administered to the driver, Ann M. Chilastri, 46 of Port Republic.  Police say that Chilastri failed to complete the test successfully and was arrested for DUI.  Investigation revealed that a juvenile in the vehicle had actually been driving during the time of the accident.  Both Chilastri and the juvenile were under the influence of CDS taken from another family member earlier in the day.  Chilastri was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.  The juvenile was arrested and released to her mother.

Danielyn M. Winder busted with bunches of pot

LUSBY, MD. —  Maryland State Police report that on 4/7/15 at 1:11 am, Trooper First Class Oles stopped a vehicle on Rt. 4 north of the Calvert Cliffs State Park in Lusby for traffic violations.  A moderate odor of raw marijuana was emitting from inside the vehicle.  A probable cause search revealed 244.3 grams of marijuana.  Danielyn M. Winder, 35, of Lexington Park, was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

 

Dopey Kyle Driving With Interior of Vehicle Filled with Pot Smoke

ST. LEONARD, MD. — Will the insurance company that insures this vehicle like the idea that the driver is cruising while smoking dope? Police report that on 4/7/15 at 3:32 pm, Trooper First Class Costello stopped a vehicle on Rt. 4 near Ball Rd. in St. Leonard for traffic violations. The distinct odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the inside of the vehicle.  A probable cause search revealed trace amounts of marijuana in a smoking device.  Kyle R. Evans, 19, of St. Leonard, was issued a Civil Citation for possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana and was released.
