There is growing evidence that many new heroin addictions stem from the abuse of prescription painkillers. Once addicted to these opioids, individuals may switch to increasingly cheap and “available” heroin.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the 24-year-old male victim, who reported that he was walking on the bike trail between Norfolk Road and the Marley Station Mall when he was approached from behind by three male suspects.
