St Marys Sheriff arrests for March 27 2015The following reports and arrests were reported by St. Mary’s County Md. Sheriff Tim Cameron

Solicitation of a Minor

– On March 9, 2015, detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division began an investigation after receiving information, John Allen Combs SR., age 42, of Lexington Park, a tier 1 registered sex offender, had posted child pornography on his social media sites.

During the investigation, Combs began communicating with a 15 year old girl via a social media website. Over the course of several days, the communication continued and lead to Combs sending nude photos of himself to the 15 year old girl. Combs then requested the girl have sexual intercourse with him.

On March 18, 2015, Combs responded to a predetermined location to meet with the 15 year old girl and was placed under arrest by detectives.    

Combs was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Felony Sexual Solicitation of a Minor and 2 COUNTS of Sex Offender Violation. CASE #14637-15

Disorderly Conduct – On March 15, 2015, deputies responded to the Pegg Road Shell station located at 22141 Three Notch Road in Lexington Park, for a disturbance. On arrival, they located Kyle Derrell Howell, age 24, of Newark, New Jersey, inside the store throwing items on the floor and he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Prior to the deputies arrival, Howell chased an employee around the store. Howell was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center by Deputy Murphy. He was charged with Property Destruction Under $1,000, Disorderly Conduct, and Possession Alcoholic Beverage. CASE # 14556-15

Assault & Resisting Arrest – On March Deputy D. Smith responded to a residence on Jay Dee Court in Great Mills, for a domestic assault in progress. The victim alleged suspect Robert Alan Mandley JR., age 28, of Charlotte Hall, was intoxicated and struck the victim in the face with his fist. Mandley then struck a second victim in the face. He had also damaged property in the residence prior to the assault. Deputy Smith placed Mandley under arrest and in handcuffs. While walking Mandley to the patrol car he attempted to flee from deputies. Mandley was quickly apprehended and placed in the patrol car. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with 2nd Degree Assault, Property Destruction Over $500, Failure to Obey Lawful Order, and Resisting Arrest. CASE #14583-15

Assault – On March 16, 2015, DFC Bowen responded to a residence on Rowan Knight Drive in Lexington Park, for a reported assault. The victim alleged suspect Stephan Domont Alston, age 54, of Lexington Park, strangled the victim with his hands during an argument. The victim was able to get free and call 9 1 1. DFC Bowen observed fresh evidence of injury on the victim’s throat. Alston was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 2ndDegree Assault. Violation Protective Order – On March 16, 2015, Deputy LaFave responded to a residence on Frank Hayden Lane in California, for a reported violation of a protective order. The victim alleged suspect Michael Jonathan Reeb, age 28, of Great Mills, contacted the victim on social media via third party in violation of an active protective order. Deputy LaFave located Reeb and placed him under arrest. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Violation Protective Order. CASE #14957-15

Assault – On March 17, 2015, Deputy H. Smith responded to the Circuit Courthouse in Leonardtown, for an assault. On arrival, Deputies assigned to court security had two suspects in custody identified as Josephine Bernetta Tippett, age 19, of California, and Angela Rose Tippett-Wedding, age 36, of California. Deputies heard a disturbance in the hallway and found the suspects kicking the victim. Deputies separated the parties and placed Josephine Tippett in handcuffs after she refused to cooperate and continued to act in a disorderly manner.

The investigation revealed the suspects assaulted the victim as she exited the courtroom with suspect Angela Tippett-Wedding’s ex-husband. Tippett-Wedding struck the victim in the face with her forearm and pushed her backwards to the floor. The victim was able to stand up after others intervened. At that time, Josephine Tippett struck the victim in the forehead while Tippett-Wedding bit the victim’s leg. Deputies arrived and broke up the fight.

Tippett-Wedding and Tippett were placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. Both were charged with 2nd Degree Assault. CASE #15074-15

Violation Protective Order – On March 17, 2015, Deputy K. Molitor responded to a residence on Goldenrod Drive in Great Mills, for the report of a protective order violation. The victim alleged suspect Deena Jo Neville, age 47, of Great Mills, contacted the victim by calling the victim’s phone and sending text messages in violation of an active protective order. Deputy Molitor located Neville and placed her under arrest. Neville was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Violation Protective Order. CASE #15217-15

Theft – On March 20, 2015, DFC Knott responded to the Taco Bell located on MacAurthur Boulevard in California, for a reported employee theft. The investigation revealed suspect Taneesha Shantel Washington, age 23, of Leonardtown, was in charge of depositing the money from the business in her capacity as the assistant manager. The district manager indicated deposits totaling over $3,800 were not dropped by Washington between March 17 and March 20. Washington was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with 2 COUNTS Theft $1,000 to Under $10,000. CASE #15822-15

First Degree Assault – On March 20, 2015, Deputy Cole responded to a residence on Jay Dee Court in Lexington Park, for a man with a gun. The victim alleged he was stopped at a traffic light on Great Mills Road, when suspect Charles Timothy Moore, age 33, of Lexington Park, pulled his vehicle next to him. The victim and Moore began to argue. They proceeded to drive to the residence on Jay Dee Court where both got out of their vehicles and the argument continued. Moore suddenly walked back to his vehicle and retrieved a black handgun. He then pointed the handgun at the victim and indicated he was going to kill him. Moore then stopped and walked inside the residence with the handgun. The handgun was determined to be a BB gun, which the victim believed to be real. Moore was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 1st and 2ndDegree Assault. CASE #15864-15
