The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit today arrested a suspect in connection with a domestic-related homicide this morning in Hillcrest Heights. The suspect is 28-year-old Portia Nikkia Williams of the 6000 block of Logan Way in Bladensburg.On February 15, 2015, at about 5:00 am, patrol officers were called to the 3000 block of Branch Avenue for the report of a stabbing. When they arrived, the officers found the victim suffering from an apparent stab wound inside of his apartment. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The preliminary investigation reveals Williams went to the victim’s home this morning. The victim and suspect got into an argument which escalated into the stabbing. The victim and suspect had been in a romantic relationship. Williams was still in the home when officers arrived. She is charged with second degree murder and first degree assault.
