Murder USA: Seydou Ba killer sought in Anne Arundel

Millersville, Md. — Anne Arundel Police report that on Monday, November 17, 2014, at approximately 6:46 a.m., Anne Arundel County Police Officers were dispatched to the 8300 block of Williamstown Drive, Millersville, Maryland, for a possible single-vehicle accident.  Upon arrival, officers located a male in the driver’s seat, at which time fire personnel pronounced him deceased.  Due to injuries the driver had sustained, the Anne Arundel County homicide unit responded to the scene and is treating the investigation as a homicide.

Homicide detectives were able to identify the deceased as Seydou Alassane Ba, 46, of the 400 block of Christopher Avenue, Gaithersburg, Maryland.  Detectives have notified family members and are in the process of conducting interviews with several witnesses.  The Anne Arundel County Recruit Class responded to the area this afternoon and conducted an extensive search of the area looking for items of possible evidentiary value.

On Tuesday, November 18, 2014, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is scheduled to conduct an autopsy to determine the exact manner and cause of death.  This is still a very active and fluid investigation.
