MAN WITH A GUN – At approximately 9:10 PM, deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on Old Village Road in Mechanicsville. The vehicle had left the roadway and was stuck in a ravine. The driver was armed with a firearm and was threatening suicide. Additional personnel responded to the scene. After a short stand off the subject exited the vehicle and was taken into custody without incident or injury. The subject was transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for an emergency evaluation.

Former Baltimore Police Department Lieutenant Colonel Cliff McWhite was charged today in a criminal information with theft. McWhite is alleged to have falsified information in order to obtain an increase in his salary in 2008 and 2009
